We just spent a great week at Paradise Blue. We had always dreamed of staying right on the beach and we can now check that one off. The backdoor opens to a beautiful beach with a series of breakwaters that make the water very calm.
We were 4 adults and 3 kids ages 9, 7, and 5. The 4-bedroom, 4-bathroom condo was perfect for our family vacation. On the main floor there was a living area, dining area, and large, well-equipped kitchen. In addition to the large refrigerator, there was a 5-burner cooktop and oven, a large microwave, toaster oven, toaster, coffee-maker, dishwasher, and 2 separate sink areas. There was a large number of pots, pans, and utensils, and a huge quantity of corelle dishes, glassware, and silverware. The spice cabinet was well-stocked. The condo came with 5-gallon bottles of drinking water, which we replenished for $5 each on Tuesday when the water deliveryman comes.
On the second floor there were 2 bedrooms, both with en-suites. On the third floor there were 2 more bedrooms with a shared-bath and a full-size washer and dryer. The bedding was very comfortable and the view of the beach from the balconies was outstanding. There were over 30 beach towels in the bathrooms and closets in the house!
The entire house is beautifully decorated. John, the owner had thought of everything. There were 5 flatscreen TVs – one in each bedroom and one in the main living area. There was also a Sony sound bar to connect an iPhone, etc. There was a large quantity of sunscreens and aloe, and a number of board games and beach toys for the kids. And there was a table and beach loungers on the patio.
Communicating with John was very easy as he responded very quickly to my questions. Check-in was simple as there was a keyless entry pad to which he had programmed a number specific to our stay.
The condo is on the southeast side of Nassau. We didn’t have a car so we either walked to Solomon’s Market for our food and alcohol shopping – about a mile each way – or made friends with the beach club guys who got us a ride. While the Palm Cay Beach Club offers a guest membership, we found that we didn’t need it.
This is one of the best beach vacations that we have ever had. Paradise Blue is stunningly beautiful. John says that this is his family’s house. And he really makes it feel like your own when you are there. We are already planning our return to this Paradise – Paradise Blue that is.
