Good service and value
Good value basic room in a convenient and apparently safe area. Not large or tiny, the room had most utilities apart from a safe. It's an unexceptional and adequate place to sleep and rest. Staff are accommodating and pleasant. Be aware that all rooms are on the 5th and 6th floors and lifts are small.

Convenient location and free underground parking. Walkable to mall, restaurants. Nicely updated bathrooms. Room a little older but clean. Very nice breakfast on top floor with nice city views due to large glass windows. Nice and cooperative staff.

Central location but room was very tired. Clean bedding but very low light in room and safe was impossible to open even though I followed instructions. Night staff were friendly enough though. Cafe bar almost next door Harper’s was okay for a few beers. Basically one of those ‘if you need a cheap hotel for one night’ kinda places.

Nice hotel
Nice enough hotel, only complaint would be mould in the top of the mirror in the bathroom but presumably caused by condensation. Generally a comfortable stay at a reasonably priced hotel

Lovely hotel
Lovely clean large room 5-10 mins walk from bus/train station. Comfy bed helpful staff A few pubs and restaurants close by also near clothing shops if needed. Not many touristy things to see but a good stopping point if you have a late night flight in. Also catch the bus from the airport 15 mins €6 taxi was €25 so we took the bus

You get what you pay for
Very good location, friendly staff and very clean. However the rooms are small and tired: the wallpaper is peeling off and the carpet is patched (very well, but the edges of the patch are now worn). The pillows are very very slim. The mirror in the bathroom is poked with brown stains and the grout is mouldy in places. There is free parking at night but it needs to be vacated before 9 am (paying extra is not an option). Altogether quite sad but for fifty odd dollars a night, I guess it was to be expected.

A bit tired but ok for a short stay.
We were given a room on arrival which hadn't been cleaned. After we complained were given a room upgrade. The hotel is ok for a short stay but could use a little updating.

Location good for downtown, bad for families
We arrived late and the area was pretty sketchy. Drunks asking for money, etc. They do have secured underground parking (as long as you are gone by 7 or 8 a.m.). Unless you need to be right downtown, perhaps look someplace else.

Good budget hotel.
Good hotel if you want a budget stay. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Bit disappointed restaurant was closed during my visit but on previous occasions has been that great anyway. Good location in the city though.

Good hotel, nice breakfast!
Good hotel, nice breakfast, well located, near shopping centre, restaurants, and short drive distance to Charleroi (Brussels South) Airport. I arrived a little late (around 10:30pm) and the best option for my dinner was buy a pizza near the hotel and eat while I was relaxing in the bath! Great and relaxing night! ;-)

Decent stay in city centre
Stayed one night. The room I got was spacious and looked like it had been recently renovated to modern decor with a conformable chair, table to work on, plus a few seats dotted around the room. It was a hot and humid day, so it was a shock to discover that the room did not have A/C. The room does come supplied with a fan, which took about an hour to cool the room down. Most importantly it cooled the room enough to sleep comfortably. The room also had a kettle and coffee/tea supplied, which was a nice touch. The bed was okay and seem to have been 2 single beds pushed together, that or mattress had a lump seam all down the middle. So I ended up sleeping on just one side of the bed. The bed also came with 2 thin square shaped pillows that seem to be so popular Belgium. Ended up stacking the 2 together as I prefer a thicker pillow. Location wise, the hotel is about 10 minutes walk to the Charleroi Sud and the main bus station. Pretty straightforward to get from there to the hotel. As with most cities around the world, there's homeless people around the city centre and the walk will involve walking past a few. Both day and night. They're mostly harmless and don't seem to bother the tourists of people in general. As it's in the city centre, there's plenty of choices for eating. The hotel is only about 10 minutes walk to the Charles II place, but uphill. Proximity to the station makes life easy. Staff were excellent and friendly.

Just fine for the price.
The hotel was fine. Decent shower. Clean. Internet was poor, spotty. Instant coffee. Breakfast was 13 euros more per person. Lots of restaurants and bars nearby and short walk to the train. Dirty little town though. There was trash everywhere.

Dated but clean hotel with very basic facilities
The hotel is a walking distance from Charleroi-Sud therefore an excellent location if visiting by train.My room are very clean but the facilities were below average, the fridge was not plugged in, the room was not air conditioned so one had to make do with a fan, no toiletries supplied except loo roll and a fixed soap dispenser. The Breakfast experience was awful, unwelcoming eating area and a very limited menu, I ended settling for just a croissant and some fruit juice. The staff were very pleasant but I cannot recommend the hotel as the decor dated and facilities are basic and close to hostel standard.

Hotel was good. Hotel Reception excellent. Food in Restaurant was good. Restaurant Manager (assumed) was good. Temporary Restaurant Manager (assumed; on manager evening off) was not interested in the patrons only his friends.

Solo overnight trip
The hotel is in a perfect central location max. 10 min. walk to the main train and bus station that connects to Charleroi airport etc. The hotel is 2 mins. walk from the main shopping area where there are places to eat. On Sunday morning you are a 5-7 min. walk from the bustling markets which are well worth a visit. The staff are very friendly, polite and helpful and don't make any fuss. The room, for the price (€50) is very good. No complaints at all. Only real improvement would be a slightly bigger TV with better reception (many of the stations were of poor picture quality). I have stayed at this hotel before and will definitely come back for my next visit.

Much better than last year because we all actually had beds which did not break! I was bitterly disappointed last year, when we arrived to a 3 person room to find only 2 unbroken beds and there were no spare beds left and 1 child had to sleep on the floor and I was promised a refund, that the hotel initially denied I'd complained, then admitted I had complained but chose deliberately not to record the complaint, furthermore that the promised refund was never honoured. I got given 10 euro towards a further stay. This year, beds which worked!!!!! That is all I wished for.
