My only quibble were m the cleaning ladies at 8am talking loudly for 1 hour outside my room. Surprised they didn’t actually have any work to do - woke me up. Other than that 5 stars for a budget hotel in Belgium.

Conveniently Located Hotel.
I stayed for one night on a short trip to Namur. The hotel was conveniently located oppsite the railway station, and close to everything, sights, restaurants and bars. Friendly and helpful reception staff and good sized room with tv/ac/tea & coffee/fridge etc. Happy with the rooom and the hotel. A reasonable price too.

Great welcome and recommendations for restaurants and things to do, places to go. Had a great nights sleep too. As per other reviews - no noise issues even though the hotel is opposite the train station and in busy part Of town. Great value too.

This is not the fanciest hotel in the world, but it was clean and the bed was comfortable. The hotel is looking a little on the tired side. However, the staff were very friendly and very helpful. I would stay there again.

We ended up not checking in because the entire town of Namur was shut down fir New Year’s Day n we couldn’t even find a place to eat even the hotel restsurant was not open so we went back n stayed in Brussels

All accesses to the hotel are and were perfectly open, the city of Namur is carrying out works in the station area, but it is possible to have access to the hotel without problems by following the deviations indicated. We are located 100m away. from the city center, which allows easy access to shops, restaurants and the various tourist points of Namur. All restaurants in Namur were open this December 31. Our reception is open 24 hours a day and a receptionist is at your disposal for any information, we would have been happy to direct you to restaurants if you had returned to us. Best regards.

Namur stopover
This was a stop over night on the way to Italy. We love Namur and wanted a place that was close to the centre. Parking was just a couple of hundred metres away and hotel 5 mins from the old Quarter. The hotel definitely ticked this box and we had a lovely room looking out on to the station. The quadruple glazing meant there was no noise at night and the bed was very comfortable. Namur is a very underestimated destination

Better than expected.
The hotel is right across the road from the railway station, so veryconvenient but still walkable distance to main sights and restuarants. Bonus was checking in from 12noon. Our room was away from the road and much bigger than expected. Also included small fridge, safe and kettle. Bathroom was clean and spacious too. Comfy bed, good wifi so no complaints. Did not eat breakfast. Recommend this hotel.

Handy and Friendly

Convenient for the railway station
The hotel is right opposite the main entrance to the railway station so is very convenient for anoyone travelling by train. Despite my room overlooking the main street, there was no noise from the traffic due to excellent sound proofing.

Comfortable and basic, super location
Comfortable hotel with basic, standard facilities. Perfect location for a city trip and check in/out was fast and receptionist helpful and nice. Only thing is how paper thin the walls ( could hear people in the bathroom next door and came out of the shower twice thinking someone’s was in my room! ) and the hotel itself could do with a freshen up. Price was ok but wouldn’t have liked to pay more than that. Bed was very comfy and shower was powerful but you wouldn’t want to be very big to fit in! Overall I would probably stay again if price was right.

Reasonable hotel convenient for train station
Good for short stay or stopover. Parking (additional charge) is in public multi-storey 200 metres away (hotel literature says 100) and directions are not clear. This parking arrangement is not clear on website or I would not have booked. Hotel itself is ok - not specially outstanding. Breakfast was very good- buffet style and all staff we met were very friendly and helpful.

City centre hotel ok for overnight stay
I choose this hotel as I needed to stay close to the station for one night. The room was a small double at the back with a view of the wall of the next building. Room modernised and furnished well - but everything worked - excellent powerful shower and English programmes on the tele! Breakfast (12 euros) was adequate, but basic. The room was fine for one night, but not for longer stays.

Location of hotel is great with main Namur Train Station opposite. One way systems around the hotel were difficult to navigate at times so make sure your sat navs are updated. Clean & friendly hotel that is a little dated but offers value for money for a city break.

Decent enough room. Small, but close to the Saturday market. A little scary after dark, but we had no issues.

Step off the train and straight into the hotel. All local and national and international travel is at your doorstep. Clean, and well equipped room. Quiet and obliging staff.

Quaint Hotel Across from the Railway Station
Grande Hotel De Flandre, was literally just across the street from the railway station. The elevator from the ground floor to reception was a tiny thing, about the size of a closet. It had a regular door, like you would use to enter a room. When the light turned green, you opened it manually. There was no inner door to the elevator car, and so you could see the wall of the shaft scrolling by. After checking in, we took the elevator up a couple more floors to our room. It was snug, but there was nothing wrong with it. The hotel is part of the Best Western chain, of all things. Thus, the pens and stationery all had the chain logo on them. That was disappointing in an amusing way. Who wants to go to Europe and come back with Best Western stationary? The breakfast was good, with enough variety to accommodate most ideas of breakfast.

Comfortable but unremarkable
The Grand Hotel de Flandre is a comfortable but otherwise unremarkable hotel. It is very conveniently situated for the railway station and despite being on a main road it is very quiet. It might be a little overpriced and the impressive art deco foyer is not representative of the rest of the hotel. It was a good choice after a long day of travelling but otherwise I would look for something more interesting.

Great for price and convenience.
If you're just stopping in for a short stay, this place is pretty good. Directly across from the train station, and plenty of places to eat and drink nearby. Though there are much more quaint locations in the town further away from the station, it doesn't take but 5 minutes to walk that way. Service was good. They allowed us an extra hour on our checkout day. The main issue we had was the sheets on the bed. That sounds silly, but those were almost plastic and made for an uncomfortable night. We would recommend this place for something quick and easy, but we would find something further into town if we returned to namur.

Had a very nice stay at this hotel and the staff is very professional and friendly. Location was perfect right next to the central station and a short walk from main attractions in town. The room is nice with coffee and tea facilities, very spacious bathroom and excellently soundproofing.

Je vous le recommande !
Séjour d’une nuit en couple. Chambre de luxe très spacieuse, très jolie, moderne, lumineuse, agréable. Le petit + un frigo dans la chambre, bouilloire, café, thé. Le personnel est hyper agréable et à l’inécouté, du personnel de réception aux personnels de propreté. Cet hôtel est très bien placé face à la gare et proche de toutes commodités. Hôtel très bien isolé, même côté rue on entend rien dans les chambres. Je le recommande!

Cualquiera puede entrar al hotel ya que la recepción está en el primer piso. Los alrededores del hotel no me parecen muy seguros. Pese a eso, la calidad-precio no está mal
