We reached out via Expedia days to check-in to request for a refund or amendment, the Hotel advised that they would reach out on status, they never did despite the reasons given for the request. That was rather distasteful and the lack of communication was most regrettable.

Worst stay ever!
Worst stay I’ve ever experienced. I booked and paid the hotel through Hotels.com however when I got there, they made me pay the rate I already paid a second time, charging me double because I had a guest. This was so unheard of, and I felt completely unsafe in a country I didn’t know at all. This is at very best a 2 star hotel, towels had a bad smell, the room door couldn’t be locked, and there’s no A/C or heater in the room.

One of NBO's Best Kept Secrets Obviously
This is one of Nairobi's best kept secrets. Great, serene ambience you could as well be on a safari with all the wildlife around you. Great friendly staff and one of the best food I have tasted in an NBO hotel. I will stay here again and again.

Safari in Nairobi
West Wood Hotel is a special place. Very conveniently located in West Wood, its backyard makes you feel like you are already on safari with monkeys, did-diks, bee-eaters, etc. Very friendly staff and nice rooms.

A comfortable stay next to the forest
I really enjoyed the feeling of being in the forest with the views from the terrasse and the room. The stay was comfortable but the kitchen was too slow, it took us a long time to get food when we ordered some.

A tranquil surprise in the middle of a city
Westwood is a gem in the middle of a city. Its quiet, tranquil, nestled in the forest with a small stream. Everything went smooth with our stay, the staff were super friendly. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Amazing hotel & very personally friendly staff. Any little request is def taken care of, even requests to the restaurant for certain foods! Rooms were great and taken care of daily.

The conference I was supposed to attend at West Wood was moved to a different hotel just 48 hours before the conference was to begin. I had no idea it was a result of the hotel overbooking. So, I arrived expecting a 5 night stay and was told that I only had a room for 2 nights due to overbooking. It was around midnight and there wasn't much I could do. I told the person at the front desk I would find another hotel for my stay and would just sleep over that night. An Expedia rep was nice, but couldn't do anything for me that evening. I called around on my own and found a place to stay where my conference had been relocated. In the morning, I tried to check out and the manager told me I could not check out. She didn't tell me my driver had arrived to transport me to a new hotel. She proceeded to tell me that I was comfortable at the hotel and should just stay while she sorted out the rooms and relocated someone else. I told her it wasn't necessary and we began a back and forth about where I should stay. She refused to give me a refund, saying that I was being accommodated so could no longer relocate to another hotel. Once I found out my driver came to take me to a new hotel, I left and had repeated phone communication with West Wood and Expedia to get a refund issued.

Easy access to various locations for meetings. Quiet and peaceful. Good wifi and friendly staff. Facilities are limited (no gym, no business centre, only one restaurant/bar) but this is a small hotel so it's not unreasonable. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. Great to find USB plug points next to the bedside table. Large walk in shower in my room but the hot water takes a few minutes to reach the room. Linen is clean but some of the towels were a bit threadbare. But I would stay here again as it served my needs.

The hotel is situated perfectly at the Kuara Forrest edge. The breakfast is Ok. The rooms are beautiful and large. The WiFi works well in the lobby. It is a uniquely decorated place, and the staff are hard working and kind.

The staff at the hotel were kind and lovely. The hotel was however not very active, we were the only guests for two days. It was quiet and some facilities of the hotel were therefore not functioning.

Good location in Nairobi
I look for a comfortable reasonably priced hotel for an overnight stay prior to onward flights. The West Wood ticks most of the boxes providing a spacious and well equipped room in a location which is quiet yet conveniently placed for the two airports. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly. The restaurant is adequate.

A Terrible experience!!!
My stay there was horrorable and room location is like a bunker. Towels smell bad and the bed is not comfortable at all. Bed sheets also smell like someone had used the room and bed sheets not changed. Will definitely not return nor recommend this place. A horror house for me.

Comfortable hotel, pleasant staff.
If you are looking for a quiet location in Westlands with a spacious room and comfortable mattress plus friendly staff, I highly recommend this hotel. Bordering a forest's edge with a small stream, the evening was quiet, no sounds from the city at all. The Buffett breakfast had multiple selections and options and was nicely stocked. Went for an early swim in the morning, enjoyed my complimentary breakfast and finished with a hot shower before check out. I will stay here again next time I find myself in Nairobi.

Peaceful setting nearby major shopping centres
I stayed for a week at the West Wood and it was lovely. Rooms are comfortable, large, and have nice bathrooms with good water pressure. Hotel is on a quiet street in a safe neighbourhood and it's a short walk to major shopping centres (<15min to Westgate, <20 to Sarit Centre) and restaurants and markets. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Restaurant offerings were limited but delicious.

pictures are very deceiving stick to brands
My stay was horrible that hotel is not a 4 star and there was a wedding with loud music and PA system.The service is by far below par if this is what you call 4 star then the rating agency is so wrong.I had to check out before my return date I feel robbed by your website.

Hotel that promised much but delivered so little!
The web description offered so much and indeed so did the lobby. However after finally checking in the list of irksome discoveries soon began to mount. The room was in what i can best describe as a basement with no wifi. The kingsize bed consisted of two bed pushed together, the bathrobes were torn and the safe did not work. The selection of drinks and food was very poor and the staff seems disinterested at best. Luckily we were visiting family so managed to escape regularl! The final nail in the coffin for me was the abject failure to deliver our morning call on the morning of departure and as a result our taxi to the airport left without us and we ended up missing our flight home. This incurred additional charges for us as well as 24 hours in the airport. We will not be recommending this hotel... even to our worst enemies!!!

This is a nice and excellent Hotel
The location of the Hotel is excellent, about 5 minutes walking to two shopping mall that you can find everything even a good Thailand restaurant. Very clean rooms and the garden area is very nice to take your lunch or dinner in open area.

It was a wonderful stay and the staff very professional. The west wood hotel has beautiful rooms and house keeping was done well. There is Wi-Fi but was kinda iffy at times. I would certainly stay there again.

Hotel allowed early check-in which was very welcome since I had arrived early from an overnight flight Two functions on consecutive nights had loud music which went on late and did cause disturbance since the hotel building was very 'open plan' style and music/noise travelled easily Staff were largely pleasant and friendly although there was no-one on the desk at 0445hrs to check me out (luckily I had anticipated this and settled my bill the evening before)

The position is good, walking distance from the action in Westlands, but silent enough to have a good sleep at night. The room is huge and the garden is very nice and well kept, beautiful view of the Karura forest and it is pleasant to have a drink or dinner at the veranda to chill out after another chaotic day in Nairobi. However, there is a lot to do to improve the whole package: all the staff is trying their best but the cleaning has to be improved, the wifi is working only in certain areas/rooms of the hotel, the property is very dark at night and I reckon it needs to be refreshed. There should be more care in the small details that are actually making the difference between a good stay and a bad stay. Potentially a good 4 star European standards hotel, currently a 3 star hotel. Not that the situation in other hotels in Nairobi with the same price range is much different though.

Insgesamt zu empfehlen. Minuspunkte sind der schon etwas angejahrte Zustand der Bauten. Das Restaurant gibt auch nicht viel her, bestenfalls Durchschnitt. Pluspunkte sind die gute und sehr ruhige Lage, das äusserst freundliche und hilfsbereite Personal sowie ein für Nairobi akzeptables bis gutes Preis- Leistungsverhältnis. Für Einkäufe strategisch gut gelegen.

Staff that cheat customers and transfer rooms
I booked this hotel from Germany. On arrival, the actual spacious room that I had booked had been given to other customers. The staff tried to give me a room in the first floor without a garden view that I had booked. The receptionists had no specific explanation for this behavior. The Expedia booking could not be found initially and suddenly it was found. It is rude and unprofessional for any hotel which is anyway so expensive, to use photos to advertise a room and when you arrive after booking a room you saw on the photo, it is not the correct one. Then the staff walk you around all other rooms trying to find a solution. I will definitely never book this hotel again. I had rather stay in the city center and take a ride to walk in the greed side of the city. It was not worth the money at all.

マサイ・マラから戻り、ナイロビで3泊したときに利用しました。 建物そのものは綺麗ですが、なんとなく殺風景。 部屋が大きく、とても綺麗。シャワーも問題ありませんでした。 WifiもSpeedyで快適。部屋にもう１つランプがあれば良かったと思います。 プールがあるとの事でしたが、非常に小さいのが１つ、しかもメンテナンス中で利用できず。 朝食は非常にがっかりでした。品数も少なかったです。 歩いて10分程度のところにWestgateモールがあり、スーパーマーケットやフードコートがあり、便利です。 タクシーも受付で対応してくれました（料金の交渉は各自で）。 朝食と、プールが使えなかったのは残念ですが、コスト的には満足でした。
