Recently renovated for the 2024 season with new living room furniture, new kitchen flooring, new stainless steel fridge, new washer and dryer, and fresh paint!

The Galleon blends a rare and unbeatable location with old-world charm that is still seen on the Southern Beaches of the Outer Banks. With bedding upgrades (2024) and new deck furniture (2022), the Galleon has everything you need regardless of what season you visit. The Crow's Nest is equipped with ample seating and is large enough to enjoy your morning coffee or maybe evening cocktails while taking in the salt air and feeling the cool ocean breezes. Get up early, take a stroll on the beach, and experience a once-in-a-lifetime sunrise over the Atlantic. Not only can the sight and sounds of the crashing waves be captivating and almost mesmerizing, but the crow's nest also provides a special and unique "bird's eye view" of Nags Head's coastline. Located directly across from the ocean/beach access, there is no doubt why this home remains a guest favorite. With the proximity to the beach coupled with the ability to walk to some of the best Outer Banks restaurants, this spot is sure to please and has something for everyone.

Though this home caters to the Beach Lover, if you find yourself needing a break from the sun and sand, there are plenty of activities nearby to keep everyone busy. Immerse yourself in the rich North Carolina history at the Wright Brothers Memorial or feel like you are on top of the world at the highest point of Jockeys Ridge. If you have a fisherman in the group, head down to The Oregon Inlet Fishing Center. Watch the many Charter Boat Captains unload their catch on the dock only to be quickly scooped up and taken to our local seafood restaurants. The layout, closeness to beach, and cleanliness were excellent. The downfalls were the mattresses were extremely hard and uncomfortable and the house was outdated. We did enjoy our stay.

The house was as listed and even better. Well equipped kitchen and comfortable living room. Beds were fine and all rooms had tvs and ceiling fans. The hot tub was very clean and relaxing. It is directly across from beach access so just a quick walk to see the ocean. The multiple decks and crows nest allowed nice seating out doors with great views.

Only negative remark was the bed was a creaky spring mattress which was uncomfortable.

When arriving the screen door was damaged on the upper porch, beer cans and bottles all upstairs on the lookout porch and pee was present in one of the downstairs toliets. I just bought some scrubbing bubbles and cleaned lightly but I do this to any rental home. We were fine with all these findings due to we received a reduced rate for booking last minute but someone else may not be of paying full price. Great home overall and would stay again.
