The Hotel is clean is a very good option for short time travellers. Nice location, close to transportations (Bus and Train) and open 24 hrs.

Great!
Overall, I had a great time staying at this hotel. The location is very convenient - near the major train station and buses. Souvenir shops are also nearby. Breakfast is very good but could use some variations. The staff is very polite and helpful. Will definitely stay here again. :)

I booked this last minute after a travel delay, and they were very accommodating given the late booking. The lobby is on the 6th floor where you can find various coffee/tea sachets but check-in took a long time. The room is a decent size, while outside are various eateries - including on the ground floor. There is also a Don Quijote on the street corner with a raised walkway straight to Nagano Station.

Cheap hotel, okay experience
The hotel staff were very kind and helpful; however the hotel itself was not quite what we were hoping for. The location is great: right next to the Nagano train station but the cleanliness and maintenance of the building was not kept up. In our rooms, the floors were not vacuumed, the sheets and walls had stains on them, and the shower was not properly cleaned before we came in. The laundry facilities were not functioning either when we arrived (there were only two machines for the whole building and one was always out of service, with the second one being out for two days). We did not try the food because we were not impressed with the rest of the hotel. The lobby was not clean, mud and dirt consistently on the floor the three nights we were there, and the elevators were genuinely not cleaned-it looked like they had not clean them in a long time. Overall, we survived and the staff were extremely nice and accommodating, but it was not a great introduction to Nagano.

Would definitely recommend for a solo traveller
Clean, neat, well priced and truly wonderful service from the front desk staff. Like a lot of business hotels in Japan, all the thoughtful little amenities you could need. My only gripe was that it was on a street that got very 'lively' at night, which obviously is not the hotel's fault, so bring your earplugs! Very convenient location for transport too

Helpful service and conveniently located
Sotetsu was conveniently located near the Nagano station - just a short walk across the street. The location provided easy access to Zenkoji Temple and the Nagano Prefectural Art Museum. The room was clean, very quiet and insulated from noise, and had some nice ambient lighting fixtures. Best of all, the staff was very helpful and responsive. They provided recommendations for local foods, and when the self-service washer/dryer wasn't working, they immediately ran to the laundry room with the instruction manual to fix it!

It is very close to the JR station and right above a convenience store. The breakfast was nothing special. The rice and soups were kept warm, but the other dishes were at room temperature. The coffee was not inspiring also. But, besides the breakfast, I would stay there again.

There's nowhere to put your bags or clothes, the wifi didn't work, and there's virtually no space for more than one person. So that's really frustrating. However, the staff was very friendly and the location of the building is decent. So will I come back? Yeah. Would I recommend the hotel to anyone? No.
