Large Waterfront Mystic Two Bedroom With Pretty Yard
Historic apartments in Mystic
Historic Greenmanville is active, exciting and beautiful. Watch yachts come and go from your living room, enjoy ice cream and seafood directly across the street at the snack shack. Walk along one of the prettiest roads in Mystic, passing Mystic Seaport and Latitude 41. Walk to restaurants, bars, Mystic Seaport or Aquarium, or sip on the front porch overlooking the river. The Apartment: This house is big, fun and welcoming! Looking west at the Mystic River, this bright, first-floor apartment has spectacular water and sunset views, but maintains privacy with shutters on the lower windows. The newly refurbished apartment has a fully stocked kitchen with plenty of counter space and a dishwasher, two bedrooms (each sleeping two), a small office space for business travelers, and a spacious common room for dining and relaxing with a very comfortable sleeper sofa that can sleep two more. This is the entire first floor apartment of a three-floor, multi-family house. You'll have complete, unshared access to everything on the first floor, plus shared access to the back and front porches and the back yard. The Neighborhood: Historic Greenmanville was once largely owned by the Greenman brothers, who built a shipyard and textile mill and rented houses to workers. The shipyard and mill have been preserved by becoming Mystic Seaport, the Museum of the Sea. Greenmanville is the most lively part of Mystic, and is halfway between Downtown Mystic and Mystic Village shops, restaurants and theaters. It is just a short 5 minute walk to a large 24 hour convenience store, for all of your late night snack needs. Getting Around: Most of Mystic's attractions are within about one very flat mile, so walking is very doable. There is also a community bikeshare (free with a $10 refundable deposit) located at Coogan Farm just three doors north on Greenmanville Ave. The SEATbus system runs around Mystic and to New London, Norwich, and some other local cities. Route #10 goes right past the house. Mystic is very driveable, and the house has off-the-street and street parking, but parking is a little tough to find in the heart of downtown Mystic. Try the back streets, or just walk from the house. Uber is also pretty popular in the area.
