We stayed for two nights while visiting the Mystic aquarium and surrounding areas. My kids loved the pool, and I found the poolside furniture to be surprisingly comfortable. The complimentary breakfast was the best I’ve had as far as roadside hotels go. The room was large for our family of five and they provided a roll away bed for one of my kids (the other two used the full sized pullout couch.) I would stay here again. If fact, I’m likely to seek out similar Hampton Inns. I thought it was great value for what we got!

Pool was freezing. The counters in the bathrooms were falling off the walls. No wash cloths they don’t carry them. Elevators don’t work properly. They don’t keep enough food at the breakfast they don’t restock them Beds are old and dated.

When got in to the hotel, front desk staff couldn’t find my reservation in their system. They advised me to call Expedia. I called Expedia and they spoke with front desk staff and provided confirmation. It was little unexpected as I had my two kids with me. Otherwise, I am very satisfied with the hotel services, I want to mention about Jose, (hotel front desk staff) he was very on top on my requests. Thank you for everything.

I find it absolutely BIZARRE that the bathroom doors have a 2 inch open gap when "closed". I use the term closed lightly because it doesn't actually close. All your privacy falls out those two large gaps. The use of a barn door for a bathroom, that will more than likely be shared by people is the worst decision I can imagine for a¹ hotel. I know this issue is not specific to this hotel but most Hampton Inn's now use this door. Besides that, there was trash in my room upon arrival, the TV had no remote and no HDMI cable, no extra bedding could be found for the couch. On a positive note the staff was exemplary.

Everything was as expected. The pool that was heated was still pretty cold. The room was very warm--the water--not so much.The person I brought wanted to swim every night but said the water was too cold-I agree. it was conveniently located for us in between Foxwoods and Mystic. The complementary breakfast was amazing. We thought going down just before 10 AM. Everything would either be not fresh or gone, but there was something different every day and it was really good.

It's conveniently located on one of the main streets in town. There is plenty of dining and shopping options a short drive into town. The staff were very helpful and extremely nice when we arrived before our scheduled check-in time, but they were still able to accommodate us which meant a lot since my whole family was tired from flying in on the red eye earlier that morning.

Not happy
We are a church and have chose this hotel for special speakers many times. This time our speaker came and said he would never stay at that hotel again. One of the doors in his room would not shut all the way, cracks in the ceiling and the smell of marijuana strong in the hallways. We paid over $400 a night for this room. Very disappointed and embarrassed that one of our guest speakers had to deal with this.
