We did cook on the grill and that worked fine. Kellye is a great host, always available, and encouraged us to come out and enjoy the sunsets which were beautiful. We originally booked this home for a family reunion for 5 aging siblings. Unfortunately 3 sisters could not make it so was just my brother and I. The property was immaculate inside and out and was equipped with really anything you might need or could want. Also, the WIFI was fast and solid. Perfect for a rain day. The property is surrounded by woodlands and as advertised, has a stupendous Lake Michigan view. It is easy to get to and from with good roads all around yet very, very peaceful and quiet. The property owners were very cordial and made every effort to ensure that we lacked nothing during our stay. In addition to the printed directory of attractions, activities, beaches, etc. located in the cottage, the owners provided their personal take on things to do in the area. Very helpful! All-in-all, we felt this property was by far the best we have stayed at in roughly 10 years of exploring western Michigan. She communicated with us and left the lights on when she knew we’d be later than expected due to Canada traffic. The communication throughout was fabulous. The house was adorable, well equipped and clean. The extra details were so appreciated. We loved the s’mores/snack kit and found the info book about the area to be full of wonderful suggestions. We took advantage of as many as we could in our short stay. We wish we could’ve stayed longer! Thank you for being such an outstanding host! I was looking for a place to rest and recharge and boy was this it!! The cottage has everything you need and I especially appreciated the hosts attention to detail.
