"My group of 16 friends had an amazing week at Chateau de la Loue! Where should I start? The grounds were beautiful and so tranquil. The interior was spacious and comfortable. The huge dining room table was one of our favorite spots! All of us could easily gather together and enjoy a leisurely meal together. The outdoor dining area was also amazing and made for a beautiful place to dine, drink and enjoy the twilight hours. There was plenty of space in the kitchen for a small group to prepare meals together. Even though the rest of France was experiencing a heat wave, we were very comfortable sleeping inside the cool stone walls. We spent a lovely day enjoying the river from the little "beach" area. There were a couple of Kayaks available, but we didn't get a chance to use them. A couple of my friends borrowed a few of the bikes available in the Stable and really enjoyed biking in the local area. I should mention there is a lovely restaurant very close to the Chateau called Loue à la Bouche. We had lunch there one day and really enjoyed it! We went to the fantastic Boulangerie Perrad in Ornans nearly every day of our stay and I can't recommend it highly enough. It was an idyllic place to spend a week. I would love to return one day."
