"My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed our 2-night stay at Josie’s Lake House in January 2026. From the moment we stepped inside, it was clear that Josie had gone above and beyond to make our stay feel special and comfortable. The house was immaculately clean, and the thoughtful touches, including a welcome sign, wine and snacks, coffee pods, and cooking essentials like olive oil, herbs, and spices really stood out.Waking up in the lake-view bedroom and watching the sunrise over the water was an absolute highlight.We loved making the most of the kayaks and stand-up paddleboards, then relaxing on the deck’s bean bag chairs while playing board games.Our evenings were spent cooking in Josie’s well-stocked kitchen and unwinding with Netflix on the huge TV.This was truly one of the best stays we’ve ever had. Thank you so much, Josie, for such a wonderful and memorable experience!"

"The house is in one of the best positions at Seal Rocks; the view is immediately mesmerising and in immediate proximity to the best swimming beach and to the walking trail in the adjacent national park. Super comfortable accomodation for a family/friends gathering. Can't recommend highly enough."

The location is the best; quiet, amazing ocean views, north-facing sunshine and private and quiet.The kitchen while old is perfectly supplied with all the cooking items we needed including modern oven and cook top.Comfy beds and lots of blankets.My tip for the owners/managers would be to supply an outside umbrella for the deck (my guess is guests have damaged them in the past, but I’ll bring my own next time!).We hope Seal Rocks stays quiet forever and escape the developers gaze. Thank you for keeping the house quaint and original!! "

"We had a delightful long weekend getaway in this wonderful property overlooking beautiful Smiths Lake. From the moment we entered we felt relaxed, with the open plan living drawing you immediately to the balcony and the captivating view beyond. We especially enjoyed relaxing on the balcony with a glass of wine, reading a book sitting by the lake and letting our dog Ryder go for a paddle. The property is well equipped (wonderful that they supplied kitchen staples like foil, salt and pepper and oil - thank you!). The fully enclosed yard was great for security for our dog and allowed us to relax all the more. Thank you for a wonderful stay. We highly recommend and will definitely be back! "
