Nice, comfortable hotel with great staff

Posted 25-Apr-2017
Pros: Wellness Centre. Free yoga class. Breakfast at San-Qi and food at "Prato". Staff: professional, well trained, kind and caring.
Cons: My room needed new carpeting or at least a shampoo to the existing one. San-Qui restaurant needs better extractors (clothes stank after breakfast).
Location: In Mumbai you need a taxi/Uber to go anywhere. Big shopping mall and restaurants nearby (still need a taxi to get there).
It is a very nice hotel. Facilities are excellent. Interior design is on the luxury side, but not very "trendy", especially the rooms. The carpet in our room had a funny unpleasant smell. We made the reception aware of it and they offered us another room but we didn't feel to pack again to move so they tried to clean the carpet but the smell stayed. For the rest, the room was very comfortable and with a nice view. The food was very good, both breakfast at the San-Qui restaurant and dinner at Cafe Prato. The San-Qui could use some improvements on the open kitchen extractors because after breakfast our clothes stank and we had to change. The wellness centre and gym are very good and there was also a free one hour yoga class.

Great place to stay

We had pretty good experience at this hotel - we upgraded ourselves to the suite which has great view - restaurant services could be time consuming but in general staff is great and very helpful. Jacob helped us do our transition but you pay for what you get here compare to other hotels downtown.

My wallet stolen by hotel staff

Posted 13-Apr-2017
I stayed at Four seasons from 7th Apr to 9th Apr 2017. At the hotel i left my wallet on table for 2 mins and when I came back it was not there. Checked CCTV cameras which were blurr. No outside people came near to that table except waiters. Hotel asked me not to file FIR and only missing complaint. They made sure inspector at nearby station also didn't file FIR. I lost all my identity cards cash and my work visa.

Greetings from Four Seasons Hotel Mumbai! I have noted your feedback regarding your missing wallet and I am sorry about it. As soon as you brought it to our attention, our Security personnel thoroughly checked the area and investigated with all the staff present at that time and regrettably no wallet was located. Also our Security Supervisor accompanied you by hotel transportation to the nearest Police Station where you were assisted by him in filing Complaint No. 597 dated 7Apr 2017 in English (whereas generally it is always filed in Marathi). We would also like to share that the decision of filing a FIR or Missing complaint is decided by the Police officials and is out of our control. Hence while I do regret any inconvenience caused, in view of the above we did all possible to assist you in the matter. Best regards, Jasjit Assi

Lovely hotel if one wants to stay in the city.

Posted 03-Apr-2017
From the xheckbin to the wonderful breakfast to the spa facilities, one admires the commitment of the staff, each and everyone of the staff member greets you with a warm smile, be it the morning afternoon or evening. The one downer was the size of the facilities on offer at the pool area. Went there at 4pm and coild not get a bed. That being said, I would still deffinettly stay when staying in down in the city, especially to sample their breakfast once again.

Exceptional hotel ! Four Seasons refines luxury. I have stayed at the fairmont before and this place really outshines it in terms of service. Sea facing view was exceptional however, overlooking the slums of worli wasn't a very pretty sight. Rooftop patio was like a crown jewel ! Very impressed with the hotel - will definitely stay here again.

Poor Location, Worse Service.

Posted 09-Feb-2017 on Hotels
Would NOT recommend this hotel in Mumbai. Firstly, the location is terrible and the service even worse. Long story short, I received an email confirmation from the hotel's reservation staff that I could check-in at 4am as long as a room was open. Upon arriving at 5am, even after giving the reception staff a huge tip, they refused to check me in unless I paid full day price (and they did not return the large tip). After lot's of protesting the most they would do is offer half price, or around US$150 for early check-in. They did not care that I had an email confirmation from their reservation staff saying I could check-in at those hours as long as a room was free (which it clearly was since they kept asking me for money to check-in at the time). I ended up sleeping on the couch with an eye mask on in the hotel lobby 4 feet from the reception desk. As some hours past, it was only after I started snoring and guests were checking out that they finally allowed me to sleep in a room. Additionally I came back to my room midday to see three maids sitting on my made bed and chairs all chatting away having fun. When I walked in they quickly jumped up, pretended to be cleaning, and one ran to shut my luggage which was I made sure was shut before I left the room earlier. Lastly, the location blows. Getting anywhere cool in the city is a 45-60 minute drive. The hotel is surrounded by slums & there is nowhere to walk near the hotel. Go to the Taj, Oberai, or any other hotel.
