You need to have a car to get there. Not too far from Genova, Portofino and Cinque Terre. Very friendly hosts will help you as much as they can to make you feel comfortable. The place has a wonderful aesthetic that really suits the property. There are tight stairs up to the bedroom level so we opted to leave our luggage in the front room. Wasn't an issue for us.
