House needs serious work
This house needs a maintenance overhaul. Lots of things didn’t work. Bbq, oven, the lights. The number of times I was asked to Just Go To The Breaker Box…we can laugh about it. Now. You can’t get to the hot tub in the winter unless you can climb through the dozen feet of snow, like a little ice goat, which they fail to tell you. Lots of other warnings posted all over the house with long lists of consequences for breaking them. Like do this or this or this and the police will be called or a giant fine. Kind of unfun. Kind of a fun killer. 2 parking spots in a house that sleeps 14 is goofy as heck. Unless you have two church vans then I guess it’s cool. The number of beds was nice with firm, comfy mattresses. Our groups takeaway: there are many houses up on the mountain, pick a different one.

Good Base for Mt Hood Adventures
We have returned to Big Bear because of its great location. #1) the Wifi has improved, yea! (#2) the clearing of paths to the door has not :( The parking spaces were plowed, but the path to the entrance was an icy disaster area. The folks staying in little bear had it even worse- but they had brought their own shovels, and helped us clear a path to the door of Big Bear- thank you! This is a real safety issue. The house itself was great. The heater in the front lower bedroom was broken, but vacasa was very responsive, and a maintenance guy came on day two and managed to fix half of it. Hot tub was off when we arrived, but warmed up nicely. Overall a very nice home, just needs to have reliable shoveling service!

Perfect mountain getaway!
Everything was perfect from the second we arrived until we left! The cabin was loaded with extras from games to kitchen utensils. There is a huge table that was perfect for our large family to gather and play games. And to top it off, it is conveniently located within walking distances to our favorite Government Camp restaurants!

There were a few issues with our stay. The batteries in the remote for the TV were out and no replacements. We had to go out and buy our own batteries. There was no laundry detergent to clean towels, so we had to go out and buy our own as well. Internet was down the entire time, tried basic troubleshooting on equipment, but that did not fix it. I called Vacasa team and they said a maintenance employee would call and come out to take a look. Maintenance never called nor came out to the property to look things over.

Large Log Cabin for a cozy stay
Only two parking spaces for a property that sleeps more than 10 is inconvenient, and the wifi/cable tv was non-existent, but other than that, this was a great home. The rooms were spacious and comfortable- plenty of space for everyone and all their stuff. The kitchen was incredibly well stocked with pots, pans, dishes, glasses, utensils, etc. The beds were plentiful and comfortable. We could all easily fit at the dining table and there was plenty of space and storage space in the kitchen. Nice quiet location.

Good location
This cabin is in a great location, walkable to down town Govie. There was plenty of space to spread out with 8 adults, 3 kids and 4 dogs. The only down sides were that the fees quickly added up (hot tub fee, owner fee, 3 different taxes) and once booked we there were a lot of warnings about the next door neighbor calling the police if there was excessive noise or if you were parked in the wrong spot. It seemed the neighbor was gone the weekend we were there, but it always felt like a looming threat which put a damper on things. There was also an excessive amount of trash (beer cans, solo cups, underwear...) in the back yard near the hot tub which was a bummer. We picked up a lot of the trash so we could enjoy it, but it wasn't exactly how we wanted to spend our weekend, especially after paying hundreds for cleaning fees. The interior of the house was fairly clean, though we did find a cache of crayons under the couch and a couple missing stuffed in its cushions. The railing going up to the 3rd floor could also use some tightening. Overall, a nice little spot, but could use a few improvements to make it worth all the extra money.

Family fun log cabin
Great log rustic cabin lots of sleeping beds and options. Love the set up of long dining table, all the recliners were very comfortable. Plenty of dishes and kitchen utensils available. The parking was for only 2 cars so not a great set up since the cabin sleeps 18. And we didn’t realize the hot tub was a shared hot tub.

Fun Cabin
The kitchen isn’t as big as it looks in the pictures. Same with the back yard. Not a lot of room. The cabins were kind of on top of each other. Over all stay was good. The master bedroom bed squeaks and is hard.

Super cute house. But needs some dusting real bad!
The house is in a perfect locations and it’s so cute and big enough for a big group. Only issue we had was it extremely dusty and there’s cobwebs all over the things that are hanging on the walls and ceilings. I really think they need to clean it. Some of us have allergies to dust and had a hard time sleeping there because it was hard to breath. Other then That the house was great a little out dated but still nice.

Nice for large group.
We had a great stay. Was perfect for our family vacation. There’s 18 of us so finding a place is the hardest part. It’s a beautiful house, and property. Some things that were less than ideal on our stay: Some dirty dishes were put away so we ended up re-washing all of the dishes to be safe. Also we couldn’t get the thermostat to work properly and the house was boiling the whole time. Parking only two cars with a family of 18 was probably the thing everyone complained about the most, but the house isn’t to far from town parking, you just need to be ready to car pool or walk. Other than that it was a beautiful location and a fun stay.
