"This home was an absolute delight to stay in. It spotless, spacious, and instantly welcoming. The cozy couches made family movie nights comfortable, and the soothing sound of the river created a peaceful atmosphere you could enjoy from the living room or even while drifting off to sleep. You can walk right down the steps to the river, which makes it easy to sit by the water or even take a refreshing dip. The riverside balcony was another standout feature, offering a relaxing view made even better by the hammock that invited you to unwind and soak in the scenery. The hosts were incredibly kind and responsive whenever I reached out, which made the stay even smoother. With its calming environment, thoughtful touches, and convenient proximity to restaurants and shops, this home is a wonderful choice for anyone looking to relax and spend quality time with their family. I truly hope to return soon."

"The hotel makes you feel like FAMILY. And the pool is the best way to cool off after the river of course. And they have a grill all ready for you to use and the best part is you don’t have to clean it yourself! I would recommend this hotel to anybody with a family. And we happen to stay on a night where a singing group was meeting. It was wonderful. Our own concert under the stars"

"I liked that it sits directly on the Upper Kern River & there is a wonderful private beach. I The lodge staff is very careful to monitor the beach to keep outsiders from using it. There is also free parking and easy access to the rooms. They served coffee every morning in the patio area and there was an ice machine. I also liked the patio area and each room has 2 chairs and a cute large tree stump for a table. The beds were comfortable with cute sheets. The air conditioner worked great!! The lodge is old and could use an upgrade. The rooms and the bathroom are small. It would help if there were hooks in the bathroom. For two people one towel rack is not enough. Add one hook next to the shower and another next to the door. Also a few hooks in the room would help a lot."
