This hotel was great. Incredibly friendly, helpful and attentive staff. The resort is a little way out of Pompei town centre; around a 15 minute walk, but this means it’s very quiet and relaxing. The rooms have all the amenities you need, with plenty of space and good air conditioning. All the rooms are next to the reception building and bar, and staff are happy to bring drinks over to your room for you. The pool area offers a fantastic view of Vesuvius, however it may have been even better if the rooms faced the volcano, as while the rooms’ patios/gardens are good, there could be better attempts to make them totally private, as you can see through into the gardens either side, and don’t offer a great view. Generally though, this is a great place to stay and is perfect for visiting the Pompeii ruins and has good train connections to Naples and to the coast to Herculaneum and Sorrento.

Beautiful view. Great staff! The wine tasting lunch we did was amazing, even shipped some bottles home came within a week when they said three weeks! Great all around. We walked to Pompeii about 25 to 30 minutes away. right outside gate of winery seemed a little sketchy always walked fast through there but nothing to complain about. Would definitely recommend.

The Resort & Winery Bosco De Medici was our final stay in Italy and it turned out to be a prefect finale to a great vacation trip. Our room was pleasant, modern, qiuet and comfortable and breakfast was as good as the other places we stayed. However the Sunday luncheon wine tasting dinner at the winery, complete with a ride on a golf cart tour of the vineyard and a private stroll afterwards on the grounds amidst chickens, peacocks, horses and amazingly beautiful grounds were a highlight ouf our tour of Italian country side. We had a wonderful dinner in town the night before at a restaurant recommeded by staff and a fabulous guided tour of Pompeii by Leillo. We will never forget this visit and the wine we purchased and had shipped back to the states arrived in three days so that we can bring back the memories here in our home . Stay one night and avoid the train or bus trip to Pompeii in one day . Its worth the overnight.

Good hotel in not so good residential area. Service is good hotel is nice, but close to nothing except the ruins of Pompeii Restaurant service is mechanical and not so nice . Food is acceptable

Really well maintained Resort and Winery with excellent staff. Everything is well kept and rooms are in very good condition, the breakfast is very good quality. Oasis in a city. Within walking distance from everything in the area. Highly recommended!

We traveled with a toddler and the property itself was very nice. The two gentleman working the front desk were also very nice to us. However, there was definitely a service inequality with those who were Italian. The staff would stop mid conversation with us to help non-Americans. The cleaning maids only cleaned out trash once a day even though there were only a few occupied rooms while the other rooms were looked after over ours. The maid smoked while coming to the rooms so the front patio was unusable for our toddler. People smoke all over the walkways, lobby and in front of the rooms and of course in their own rooms. Our room, had a leaking jetted tub that flooded our whole room. The living room table made of glass broke when the room service came in and used it to place the food. Our fridge started leaking water all over our kids bag the morning we were leaving. Breakfast was the same everyday. The food selection to order is limited and they try to get you to do a wine tasting experience. The grounds are beautiful with a small farm, animals like bunnies, peacocks, chickens and turtles our daughter loved. We walked the horse stables and picked oranges from the trees on the property which was great. The place is geared to couples and not families in terms of rooms and the type of people who come to stay.

We enjoyed our stay. The on site restaurant looked lovely but menu didn't have great options for (fussy) children. Thankfully its an easy walk into Pompeii with a range of restaurants. We ate at BellaVista on the last night and it was delicious. Staff we're very helpful and accommodating. Bed was a little hard for my liking but we were warm and comfortable. Top notch pillows though. Beautiful setting.

I am sad that we only stayed here one night. What a beautiful property with wonderful staff. Very nice breakfast included and a spectacular pool. Our room was clean with comfortable beds. We were able to leave our luggage while we toured prior to our room being ready as we arrived very early. Would highly recommend.

Excellent location to use as a base. It’s an easy 15 minute walk into the centre of Pompeii and a 40 min walk to the train station for Naples and Sorrento but taxis can be arranged. The staff are amazing and can’t do enough to help. We did the wine tasting and taster menu and I would highly recommend it. Would definitely love to go back as it’s a relaxing haven after a day sightseeing.

A little paradise in Pompeii
Everything about this place was perfect, the pool area with Vesuvius in the back ground is simply stunning, the rooms are clean, comfortable and the outdoor space lovely. It’s a short(ish) walk from Pompeii shops, restaurants and the old Pompeii ruins. But most of all the staff are just lovely, so warm, friendly and helpful. We really hope to come back again!

Very nice staff, stunning property with so many activities such as a pool, farm, horse stable, and a winery where you can have a tasting or go to dinner. Nice, modern rooms with a very comfortable bed. The staff helped arrange transport and were there to answer any questions. There was also ample parking and security cameras to keep guests safe. Great place for couples and families. Needs at least 2 nights to fully enjoy the property. Highly recommend, it felt like its own little world at the edge of the busy city. About 15 euros to get to pompei’s main archeological entrance (there are 3) without traffic.

Located approximately 20 mins walk from the Pompeii site (40 mins walk from the Scavi train station). Great for us as we love walking places. Set in a vineyard the accommodation was clean and spacious. We wanted twin beds and although one was a sofa bed, both were double (a bonus for a twin room) and the sofa had a great mattress. We didn't go to the restaurant so can't comment on that but some lovely places to eat in the town. Much quieter than Sorrento but only 40 mins by train and a good base for visiting the area if you don't mind public transport and a bit of travel.

This was a surprising gem! Decided to tour Pompeii on our last day so we left Positano and opted to sleep closer to Naples airport and we couldn’t have found a better last day in Italy! This Resort made you feel like you were in an oasis! Everything was top notch! Safe, clean, beautiful, delicious food and wine! Car service met us at 3:30am for our early morning flight seamlessly! Thank you to the wonderful staff at the hotel and winery/restaurant!! Grazie mille!!!

The Bosco de Medici is in an odd location. We were able to walk into Pompeii however the resort is away from the town. The restaurant menu is extremely limited as is the breakfast. There is pressure to sample their wines. The room was clean and well appointed. The staff in reception were very helpful. The resort booked a guide to tour the ruins who was excellent.

Favoloso Hotel in Pompeii
Absolutely fabulous, friendly and welcoming from the start. Great location to explore Pompeii and surrounding area, either by road or public transport. Good facilities, lovely pool area and comfortable well appointed rooms. All staff, were friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble, offered excellent advice on local attractions. We would highly recommend the wine tasting tour with lunch, a more than enjoyable experience!

We were excited about this stay at BDM but unfortunately it was not what we thought it would be. Highlights: The staff is accommodating and helped us schedule a tour with Alex to visit the ruins ( this tour was the highlight of our trip in Pompeii - if you get a chance book with Alex, he will not disappoint). The staff also scheduled our transfer back to Naples. The suite overlooking the winery is beautiful. Negatives: Our visit at the winery could have been a more organized and inclusive stay. It would have been nice to schedule a winery tour, tasting and dinner when we checked in. We had to seek all of that out. The bed in the suite was SO uncomfortable - the mattress was sagging and the springs were easy to feel against my bones. My husband and I had to put an extra pillow between ourself and the mattress which made for a poor nights sleep. Also, the gate is noisy at night. There is a gate attached to the suite i think this is where the staff goes in and out in the evening. With some improvements, this would be a great place to stay while visiting Pompeii. A mattress upgrade is a must, I cannot stress this enough.

Lovely spacious room, as shown in the property description, with patio and garden, opening onto an orchard. Peaceful surroundings, good customer service. The only problem was the location. At our age it was 20mins walk to the town centre (for restaurants) and 30 to the ruins - over a mile on hard pavements. Fine if you are young and fit, or have a car. (Or are willing to use taxis)

Fantastic place. We moved to this place from another down the road to rescue our long weekend in Pompeii, and it worked. A really lovely place with very friendly and helpful staff. A great place to relax after a long day walking around the ruins and beautiful surroundings away from the madness of the town. We also made friends with a gorgeous little kitten. We also ate in the restaurant twice where the staff were also fantastic, the food delicious and the wine spot on. My only negative point is the very high price. Although it is a fantastic place to stay, i didnt justify over £800 for 3 nights, but I chose to pay that and as I said, it rescued the weekend and made it very enjoyable.

My family of 4 stayed here for one night while visiting Pompeii and it was wonderful! I was concerned that the pics were too good to be true but it was very nice, clean, quiet and modern. The pool with the view of Vesuvius was magnificent. Dinner at the winery was very nice and the wines were fantastic. Breakfast was good and the staff was very kind. Would love to return one day.

Super helpful staff. They arranged an excellent private tour of the Pompeii ruins. Service and food around the pool was superb. Pool itself was brilliant but some bigger parasols might be a good idea when the sun is at its strongest but this is minor. Room was comfortable and clean with good air con. Parking is free and the walk to the town centre is flat and easy in 15 mins.

Superb hotel. We were a party of 4 couples and loved the hotel. Great location, good facilities with efficient, friendly and helpful staff. Had the Winery attached which was a good experience and Pompei was a short walk
