Very friendly and helpful staff, great position for Pompei ruins (5 mins) and for the main square in Pompei (lots of restaurants there)! The free secure parking was perfect for Pompei ( they let us leave the car for a few hours after checking out while we visited Pompei Highly recommend

+ Decent hotel, no bells and whistles but does what it says on the tin. + Hotel owners friendly but do not speak any English. + Easy access to Pompeii Ruins, 5 minutes from 24/7 supermarket and 15 minutes walk to the train station to Sorrento/Naples. + Good AC, weather was really hot, but nice temperature in hotel. - No fridge - Bathroom smelled really bad the first day, but smell went away after leaving the ventilation on overnight. Overall, enjoyed the stay at the hotel. If you're just looking for a clean room, with a bed for a few nights, then this is a good, fairly cheap place.

A nice, clean 3 star hotel
The hotel is just what you'd want from hotel in this price range. It has secure parking, and is within easy walking distance of the Pompeii entrance. As a family, we had one double and one twin room - they were nice rooms, with balconies overlooking the hotel gardens, and the mountains. The bedrooms and en-suite bathrooms were a comfortable size. Overall we enjoyed our stay there.

The staff here was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was laden with fresh blood oranges and giant lemons from the trees just outside the window. The location was very near the archeological site and the town. We arrived late at night and weren’t left with the best impression but in the light of day we were cery pleased!

This hotel is clean and simple- and comfortable. No frills. The A/C worked very well. Breakfast was continental, but high quality. Staff very helpful especially bc two train stations in town and we needed transfers. Hotel is off the main/ touristy road which was a plus for us. If you don’t like that or cannot walk around well, then you’d have to get a cab.

Wonderful find
The hotel was clean and the service was friendly. They had you leave your key at the reception whenever you leave which I thought was weird and the staff didn’t speak great English but they were incredibly nice. When we checked in we were given a map and the older gentleman working did his best to explain where the major sites were and train stations. He was delightful. They offer breakfast but we didn’t get a chance to eat it so I can’t say how good or bad it may be. The room looked a bit dated but it was well kept and very clean.

Excellent Location!
This hotel is 3 min away from the excations and a couple extra minutes from the centre of the city. Parking is available, which is always a plus anywhere in Italy! The staff was courteous and friendly and the room was very clean. Our room had a view to the Vesuvius, which was pretty neat!

Simple but clean and efficient rooms. Superb location to ruins, city center, access to trains and to motorway. Excellent staff and information support. Air conditioning kept room cool during record heat wave in Italy. Excellent parking available on hotel proprty. Just a few blocks away from the best restaurant in Pompeii - Stuzzico By Lucius - on Via Plini 9.

Great Place near Pompeii Ruins
We had a wonderful stay at the Hotel Iside. It was clean, comfortable, quiet, spacious, and very accommodating. It is located very close to the Amphitheater Gate of the Pompeii ruins and is also a short walk from the contemporary city square, many great restaurants, and a 24-hour Carrefour Supermarket. While the staff spoke only a little English, they were amazingly friendly and helpful; there was absolutely no problem communicating. We would definitely stay here again.

Great Pompei location
We stayed one night at the hotel to see the ruins of Pompei and hike Vesuvio and could not have chosen a better location. We arrived early and they stored our bags and had delivered them to the room when we returned. Within walking distance to the ruins, cathedral and great restaurants. Hotel was very safe with gated parking and fresh oranges and lemons as a bonus. I would recommend highly

Very short stroll (less than 5 minutes) to the ruins and downtown for shopping and dining. Terrific breakfast to start your day. Nice hosts at all hours. Secure parking and centrally located for day trips.

Value family hotel.
This was a great place, free parking for your car under the shady trees of their backyard. The service was very good and friendly. Access to the Pompeii sites was easy, as well as the train station, if you decide to visit Herculeum or Naples. We had great breakfasts each morning, and were supplied with fresh figs the owners had picked off their trees. An easy walk into town for a large choice of restaurants. Driving as we did, into Pompeii was not difficult, and leaving the car was also a relaxation from driving for awhile.

Excellent & great deal for lodging next to Pompeii
I wanted a place next to the Pompeii ruins and this was just a few blocks away. I was thrilled that I reserved on-line and arrived at the hotel (single woman and 64) and my room was ready early. They let me check in right away and were up late when I arrived back to my hotel. The rooms were very clean and comfortable and for the price this was an excellent and pleasant stay. I would recommend this hotel and would reserve again when I return to Pompeii!

Many reasons to stay at Hotel Iside
The staff in this family run hotel were lovely and despite our limited Italian and their limited English, communication was good. I've only two small gripes: one was the breakfasts which were unvaried and stodgy. The other was that it would have been lovely to have a fridge in the room to keep water bottles cold. There was space and as it was 36degrees when we stayed there, it would have been a bonus. Private parking amongst the lemon trees was cute!

Nice location, good hotel
We chose to stay in Pompeii to visit the archeological site and mount Vesuvius. The location was quite convenient. Very close to one of the entrances to the archeological site as well as close to the main highway. As for the hotel room, we were booked into a double room where the bathroom is too tiny and uncomfortable. You could barely move in the shower. We asked to switch rooms and we were attended. We have no complaints of the second room - it met our expectation. As a plus it had an amazing view of the mount Vesuvius. The staff in general were quite friendly and helpful.

Great little hotel -remember, you are in Europe- The best: Location and free, secured parking. We just walked two blocks to the ruins and three blocks to the main plaza. Excellent location. Close to restaurants and shopping. Free breakfast. Delightful people. I could say the shower was small, but this is Europe. Do not expect a tub and a bathroom with room to dance. Stay in the US if that is your priority. I would recommend this hotel. I would go back.

Lovely hotel near an entrance to the archaeological site that is right by the amphitheater. We were given access to our room a few hours before check in time which was wonderful because we were able to rest before going to the site. Breakfast was more than ample. The staff were all friendly and helpful.

Clean, comfortable, no frills accomodation.
I stayed here with my wife and three children on the last night of our vacation on return from Positano to airport in Naples for flight home to US the next morning. We planned to visit the Pompeii ruins and the hotel was in very close proximity (walking distance) to the ruins. The hotel is very clean, no frills hotel. It has limited services but the family that runs it is very nice and accomodating and the price range was perfect after a long vacation. The airconditioning in rooms was fantastic!! And they recommended a very nice place for lunch and dinner.

Pompeii and Vesuvius
We stayed a couple of days to visit the ruins and Mt. Vesuvius. It was comfortable and in a great location for sight seeing. The breakfast was just fine to start the day off, have no complaints. If driving make sure you drive into the gate just before the hotel or you will have to circle all the way around again its a narrow one way street and can be very busy.

Good hotel/location
Good hotel just off main road - so quiet, compared to others in the district it was a nice hotel and served its purpose of visiting pompeii. Great shower - best we had in italy, friendly staff and good breakfast. 10 minute walk to train station - Pompeii area is a bit tacky but ok, taxis dont use meters and can rip you off otherwise great to see Pompeii and would stay at hotel again. 4 min walk to pompeii.

Just as advertised
The owner was prepared for us. He had the internet password ready to go, and a map of the ruins with highlighted areas which were great. The breakfast, though small was tasty; and my wife loved the cappuccino. Check in and check out was super fast, and the price was as advertised. The room was clean, the shower was hot and high pressure. Everyone was friendly, and though I do not speak Italian, I clearly understood them. Best of all, the entrance to the ruins was within a couple hundred meters. All together, a great experience. Thank you from my wife and myself.

Decent hotel in a great location
The hotel is in a fantastic location in the heart of Pompeii. The hotel kindly let us park there after check out whilst we visited the ruins. The room was quite basic, but nice. The bathroom was very nice. Breakfast was very basic and a bit disappointing.

Close to Pompei archaelogical site
I would class the hotel Iside as 'basic'. The room was clean and tidy, but the shower cubicle was ok as long as you didn't drop your soap - too tiny to bend over. The 'Bar' is a couple of tables and sofas in reception. Their website mentions relaxing in the garden surrounded by orange and lemon trees. It doesn't mention the same garden is also the car park, and the one table and chairs are in the middle of this and not well tended at all. Breakfast is adequate, but again very 'basic', the staff are pleasant and helpful. The one thing about the hotel is that it is about a 10 minute walk to one of the entrances to the Pompei ruins.

Hotel Iside was exactly what we were hoping for. It was conveniently located near Pompeii, lots of restaurants and a grocery store. It was simple but clean, quiet and comfortable. The breakfast was simple but had a little something for everyone. I'd stay there again without hesitation.
