Although the room and facilities were very outdated, the room was very clean and tidy. We felt the photos used to advertise the room made it look more modern than is actually was. The room walls are also paper thin and you can hear every conversation to be had in adjoining rooms & other guests cars taking off early in the morning right outside our window. The young girl that organised late check in for us was very helpful, although one of the other staff members lost our 'registration form' & called us three times throughout the day to get us to go to reception to sign another one. When we called late Saturday evening one of the other staff members had found the form. We had paid for our acccomodation, so why not get us to sign another form at our earliest convenience or at check out rather than calling to chase us for it?

Friendly staff, very clean

Posted 27-Nov-2016
Pros: Clean, friendly staff, value for money, toiletries provided
Cons: Update of the shower facilities
We stayed overnight in a family suite with a spa bath. The room, although quite outdated, was extremely clean and fresh. The staff member we spoke with was very friendly and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend this hotel to any families wishing to stay in an inexpensive spa suite.

Needs some Maintenance

Posted 20-Nov-2016 on Wotif
Pros: The Bathroom actually had a bath which was very nice. The Hotel Restaurant cooked up an excellent Chicken & Rosemary with Vegetables dish.
Cons: The Aircon was noisy - I could hear the AirCon from adjoining Room go on and off which was not conducive sleep. The front door lock needs replacing.
Location: Hotel is quite central. This was an overnight stay- Mt Gambier is a very interesting town to visit - The Blue Lake, Caves,Umpherstone Sinkhole Gardens
Outwardly the Motel presents as rather austere. It could do with a nice garden/greenery. The room I had lacked colour although it was functional. It could have done with a thorough spring clean.

Old and tired

Posted 15-Nov-2016 on Wotif
Pros: Fast check in and check out
Cons: Quality of room and air conditioning
Location: Don't eat at the blue lake tandoor restaurant. Worst meal ever. Blue lake was a highlight.
Old and ineffective heating and cooling. Cracks in wall. Noise from adjoining air conditioner.

Inexpensive, and convenient.

Posted 07-Nov-2016 on Wotif
Pros: Size of the living area.
Cons: Microwave in the room, and unlimited wifi.
Location: Blue Lake Mt. Gambier Town Centre Upherston Sink Hole, and Night Time Possum Feeding
Staff were all very nice, and accomodating. Room was quite spacious, and the jet tub was a nice addition. No real concerns, except that a microwave in the room would be a nice addition that could included as an exception to the "no cooking" policy.

Old and dated-expect more from the photos

Posted 30-Oct-2016 on Wotif
Pros: Single beds were comfortable enough. Good location.
Cons: The rooms were old and outdated. Box heat/air conditioner loud and cannot sleep while running. No heating in second room. Toilet kept running, no water pressure in shower. Dust stirred up allergies. Glass door not appropriate.
Location: Perfect location

Average hotel with great jet tub in room!

Posted 30-Sep-2016
Pros: Jet-tub
Quality Inn Presidential was a well priced, very typical hotel. Nothing spectacular in the facilities, decor, or service. It was a good place for my father and I to stop for the night on our road trip. A downside is that the hotel is a bit far from the centre of Mt. Gambier, so a car is almost a necessity if you want to get into the main streets to explore the sinkholes. However, we LOVED the fact that our room had a large jet-tub. It's honestly the first time I've ever been in a hotel with one, and after a few nights on the road was something we each enjoyed taking advantage of, especially in the cool-bordering-on-cold late winter weather.

Disappointing and tired

Posted 19-Sep-2016 on Wotif
Pros: Hotel staff were nice and friendly
Cons: Desperately in need of a renovation.
Booked for 2 nights and was disappointed as the room furnishing was old and tired and looked nothing like the photos on their website.
