We booked this hotel after seeing an article about it in a magazine... we're so glad we did! From the moment we arrived we were treated like royalty... the staff couldn't do enough for us! It is everything you would expect from a 5 star hotel but the attention to detail really sets it apart from anywhere else we've stayed. Andries (reception and housekeeping manager) was amazing and really made our stay.... he's a mine of information and so incredibly helpful. The service, rooms, pool and jacuzzi areas are beautifully maintained and an army of staff work round the clock to keep it so.
Mougins itself is a charm.... just up the hill from the hotel. If your legs aren't up to it the hotel are happy to whiz you up in the golf buggy! Mougins (the old village) has a number of lovely restaurants and it also has a fabulous museum which houses an incredible private collection ... well worth a look !
Le Mas Candille has it spot on.... luxurious without being pretentious and it's all in the details! Worth every single one of it's 5 stars. We haven't stopped talking about it since we got home and have recommended it to almost anyone who'll listen. Well done Le Mas!!!
More a restaurant with rooms than a hotel, but beautifully decorated. Easy access to Grasse and Mougins, but is on a road out of town, so not suitable for those without a car. Restaurant is one of the most acclaimed in the area and a favourite for those attending festivals at Cannes.
Great location for us to chill out after a hectic holiday in London and Paris. But also a chance to visit a part of France that is not on the usual tourist route
The medieval village is a must see as was a visit to Grasse to see the perfume museum tours.
We had a great two story two bedroom duplex self catering apartment with great air conditioning and all you need to spend a relaxing few days. The pool area was great and we loved the notices to guests on all the sun loungers to not reserve these - "use or lose" - a lot of other resorts/hotels should adopt this.
We would love to come back one day!
Wonderful place for us to conclude our 2week France trip . Perfect base to explore surrounding villages . Couldn't imagine better place . Clean, remarkably decorated , staff on there game . Foolish to stay elsewhere .
Mougins, just north of Cannes, is known worldwide as a culinary centre. Famous personalities who have called Mougins home include the fashion designer Yves Saint Laurent, the actress Catherine Deneuve, and the painter Pablo Picasso. Mougins’ most famous restaurant is Le Moulin de Mougins, located in an old mill just outside of town.
