Everything was comfortable and clean. The deck was a favorite in the morning and evening. A great place to have coffee or a glass of wine to unwind, listening to the birds and running stream in the background; one side is sunny in the morning, and the other in the afternoon. A few minutes from I85 and 10 minutes to Hood River means wineries and great seafood is close. This is a unique family vacation home that has actually been lived in…so if you are looking for a spotlessly clean environment then this is NOT the house for you! But if you are looking for something a little different that has lots of personality then I highly recommend it. Our elementary school age kiddos did not want to leave! However, the few of us that live semi-locally decided to stay in the home since it felt silly to not use something that was fully paid for. The home was quirky but sweet. The lighting situation is odd but we made it work. We could feel how lovingly the home was designed with windows looking at the waterfall and little gorge to the sweeping plateau and the amazing stars. The accommodations were comfortable and the kitchen was well stockef with dishes, pots, pans, and appliances. There was heavy smoke in the air during our stay so it was wonderful that the home had fans and an air purifier to help cut down the smokey air. The home is definitely in need of some major maintenance but you can feel the thoughtful loving touches. The hot tub was not very private but what a fantastic way to watch the stars! ##### Marilee H.
