Not worth the money
Cons: - Hotel does not prioritize its guests for the onsite restaurants. I was unable to get a table in either of the two restaurants and had to get out for dinner - The room was not very clean, the carpet was really dirty - My floor (#3) was very noisy - No bellboys when I arrived, and the hotel had stairs Pros: - Good location and great (but expensive) breakfasts Overall, I will prefer National or Four Seasons to this one

I cannot recommend the Metropol enough. The staff are SO pro, friendly, helpful, fluent in english. The food is bananas good. The hotel is immaculate and the location stellar. I will not stay anywhere else in Moscow. Do not hesitate, book it.

Excellent value for money, really nice rooms.
The hotel is perfectly situated near shopping streets and the Kremlin compound which makes it easily accessible. Rooms were spacious and modern with excellent value for money. The concierge were very helpful in arranging our tours or booking us restaurants.

Great location Good room with bad house keeping and bad air conditioning 👎 The concierge was unprofessional in many way And until now no one speak with me and inform me anything about my payments for some services I don’t get it with concierge and they don’t return my money 6500 Russian Ruble its mean the organization its so bad The location its good but the staff its not professional

This historical hotel has beautifully renovated rooms and facilities, attentive staff and great location- just a few minutes walk to Kremlin, Bolshoi theater, best shopping and restaurants. Delicious breakfast and room service. We requested a late check out and were able to stay until 4PM!

We chose the Metropol because we had enjoyed A Gentleman in Moscow. It is a historic property so that the common spaces were of unusually large size with exotic art and furniture from another period. The room itself was sufficiently large but had not been updated with the most modern conveniences, such as USB ports. We were fine with that because we brought the necessary equipment. We had stayed at the ultramodern and ultraluxurious Four Seasons the two nights before. We much preferred the Metropol.

Loved the historic Art Nouveau building, perfectly located to enjoy the Bolshoi Theater. Didn't love the misleading invitation to enjoy the breakfast, and then the surprise $50 charge for a plate of cold potatoes, hard boiled eggs and some fruit.

Gracious Art-Nouveau Masterpiece
A gorgeous old historic hotel, the Metropol is more upscale than where I usually stay when I am traveling. The service was world-class. Each staff member was gracious from housekeeping to wait staff to front desk. Even if you don't stay at the hotel, you should have a drink at the bar, take a tour, or reserve a table in order to experience this Art-Nouveau masterpiece.

Location! Location! Location!. Red square 2 blocks, Bolshoi Theater 1 block, St. Basil Cathedral 4 blocks, Gum 3 blocks, Armory 3 blocks, Metro 3 blocks. Hotel is old from 1925 but well maintained. Hotel service is excellent. Must have at least one breakfast in Hotel. Concierge will some how get you tickets even for sold out performances at the Bolshoi Theater. Taxis in Moscow are cheap but remember to book through Hotel as they do not charge extra and get you a reliable safe Taxi guaranteed by them. Will stay here again if I visit Moscow again.

A civilised Moscow stay.
Less glitzy than the others- more of a Mucovite- not surprising, due to its history. Feel. Staff friendly, and very helpful- if somewhat short of fluency in English( for an international hotel) The place was impeccably clean and the bathrooms well-appointed. Of course, the main hall, used only for breakfast( or for private functions), is splendid; as was the breakfast buffet- more style than the usual 5star hotel chains. Also, it is so convenient for the Metro, Bolshoi, Kremlin and Red Square . I would, certainly, stay there again
