This is a major construction site. Most of this property is gutted. There were no employees on the property as we check in and no breakfast as promised. There is heat, hot water, clean sheets and towels. There were three other guest vehicles in the lot.

Terrible condition, will never go back
This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed. It feels like in a ghost town, there is no receptionist after 3pm on Friday. There are lots of unfinished rooms with walls teared down, you can see and smell the mold. The water leaks at multiple places. Calling to check in takes for ever. I will never go back to this hotel.

The front desk lady Ms Cathy was nice. But the hotel shouldn’t be open. There was no staff! I saw Ms Cathy at check in and never again until checkout. The rooms are all empty full if mold with doors open. There’s plaster dry wall and dust all over the carpets everywhere. Dripping ceilings and buckets. No ice machines. Room was filthy. Tub and bathroom floor left grimy and found paraphernalia left in room. It had a gym that was functional. No pool tho. The parking lot had big giant potholes. But plenty of spaces cuz you’ll be the only person there. Lastly they still have the king suite listed and let me book it but they demolished it. Hopefully they get this property right because it’s great location. I wouldn’t recommend until they reconstruct it and hire some staff.

Everything just looked and felt dirty to the touch. Rooms has a musky smell. Never. Again. I would sooner pay double for a cleaner room than I would ever spend another penny here.

thought it was a bit pricey for the time of year. good location, not much traffic noise and since it was off season, not very many staying in the hotel. it could definitely use some upgrades, buckets in places to catch water leaks and it took FOREVER to get hot water running in the room, but the room was clean and comfortable.

As stated in the email I received there would be staff for check in until midnight on a Friday. When I arrived at 9:30 there was no one and it said to call the number where I talked to someone I could barely hear. They also asked for my card information which I had already paid for the room. Once done on the phone, they called again asking for the card information again. Absolutely ridiculous!!

This is a great place if you need a one night stay for work or travel or anything. Wifi doesn't support Nintendo switch which isn't great, we understand the staffing shortages and they are doing the best they can. Breakfast is just pastries, coffee, and juice. No hot breakfast which is a bit of a bummer.

Our comforter had mold or something on it when we pulled the bedding down. Less the half a roll of toilet paper and the jets on the tub were covered in black mold. Very disappointing especially in the location.

Beautiful area, great location. The entire 1st floor including our room reeked of marijuana. Other than that, they did really well to accomodate with their limited staffing.

We do apologize. This is a non smoking floor and no one should have been smoking anything. We will have to keep on eye on this issue since the legalization of cannabis in MD. I have noticed the smell as well since July. Once again we do apologize.

The property could definitely use a renovation, appears a lot has been let go. But the place is spacious. Our room was ridiculously big. Our room was clean, stocked with plenty of towels. There is no elevator which was fine with us but thought it was worth mentioning for others. Staff was all very nice, but scarce. And I would not plan on breakfast even though it states it’s included. You get what you pay for and this place is very inexpensive. Do not expect a 5 star hotel for $150/night in a resort area.

There were buckets all over the place due to the roof leaking. I got a room on the 4th floor and there is no elevator. Not a big deal, but my knees aren't what they used to be. The lady at the reception desk was terrific. Very helpful and pleasant. We had a great conversation and laughed together. I'm not sure if I'd stay there again, but it served my purpose for that night.

Funky, but fine if the roof doesn’t collapse
The hotel was inexpensive, but in very poor condition. The roof leak like a sieve and bucket, waste pails, etc. were throughout the lobby catching the rain that poured through the roof. The room was clean and comfortable. All the room numbers were in a different’font’, from mailbox-like stick on numbers to etc. it was funky, but sufficient for a two night stay when most of my time was spent elsewhere visiting

When we arrived no one was at the reception we waited for 20 minutes when I saw a phone to call for check in I called the number and some guy checked me in and told me to open a lock key box to get my keys never seen this before no elevator in hotel got room on third floor took me 10 minutes to find my room dirty room entire hotel smells bad need to shut it down it does look like a abandoned property I would like to get my money refunded for this terrible experience

We apologize for you not having the stay you wanted. After hours we have adapted to having a remote check in process. The phone number for the remote check in was posted on a sign directly in front of the front desk in which we thought would be very noticeable. The Expedia website does state that we do not have an elevator and there are signs on the walls and beside the doorways telling you what rooms are in each area of the hotel. If your room was not cleaned to your liking you should have went to the front desk or called the reservations line again and asked for another room. We have you checking in at approximately 2 pm, which our staff was on site until 11 p.m. the evening in question. We could have placed you in another room. We have no record of you speaking with anyone at reservations or the front desk. This should be the first thing once you were not satisfied with your room. Once again we do apologize.

It was awful! I booked a night for my son and his girlfriend. They ended up leaving due to the smell and was getting sick. They did let the front office know, and they gave them a air freshener.. Witch did not help! Sad that they had to spend their vacation dealing with this and finding a new place to stay. So they went somewhere else to stay. So sad that a place like this can be that bad. Thankfully Hotels.com refunded my money to my account.

The hotel needs a lot of cosmetic upgrades. The door to the room appeared it was kicked in as door frame was broken out. Bathroom door didn't shut. Updated granite countertops in bathroom. Rooms smelt musty/moldy. Office staff was nice. Did offer free breakfast. The pro is the price at $108 for a king bed.

Your property at McHenry, Maryland is a very unique situation. Let me start by saying I worked in Hotels for 15 years in a variety of Management roles. I did receive your communications stating that due to staffing challenges you were only staffed from 7 am to 330 pm. When I arrived to check in to my two rooms, the sign read that "Cleaning Rooms, I am not here." I do not fault the associate in any way. You have to set your people up for success and I am sure that there is some financial or margin justifcation. Your facility was very clean. I was disappointed that the pool was not open. Your lockbox check in system worked but I do not believe that it is the safest system. And, frankly, when I was unable to get both rooms, I had to drive back to get everything. Major inconvenience. Your people in support were responsive. I have to think with some minor investment this could become a much more viable property.

The Quaint Inn is without a doubt the worse hotel I have ever been in. I would not have expected “Expedia” to promote such a hotel. We paid and did not stay! There was no way my wife felt safe in the hotel. There was no air conditioning in the lobby, there was only 3 or 4 cars in the parking lot, the room that we were given the foot of the bed was at least 6 to 8 inches higher than the head of the bed and the room across the hall looked like somebody had beaten the door down and broken in. So we lost $156 but at least we did not worry about our safety. Not sure if I will ever use “Expedia” again and I for sure will let everybody I know to be aware.
