I did not end up needing to do that, but the option was there. The location can’t be beat. The street the property is on is quiet itself but steps away from all the action of the surrounding Plateau neighborhood and a reasonable walk away from other popular spots like Mile End. One thing to note, and it’s not a big deal at all, but a couple of the electric outlets would not work. I do recommend staying at Sam’s listing if you are in Montreal. ##### Aaron W. Stayed 3 nights in Sep 2025 ### 2/10 Terrible #### Amanda S. 5 Jul 2025 Liked: Check-in, communication Disliked: Cleanliness, listing accuracy #### Inaccurate and unsafe We chose this property because of the advertised air conditioning and having a balcony so we could enjoy time on our trip while our 1 year old was sleeping. There was no air conditioning upon arriving, just two uninstalled units that were not working. The host got maintenance to add AC to the living room the next afternoon but the bedrooms were never fixed and I didn't want to spend time dealing with maintenance on our trip. We essentially only were able to use one bedroom trying to get the AC from the living room and it still never got cool. Some nights my baby monitor captured 81 degrees even with the AC in living room running. The "balcony" was a dilapidated fire escape so rotted that there were holes in the floor and a broken table. The entryway metal railing was corroded and missing the stabilizing rail piece-- extremely unsafe. In the end we tried to stick it out but we ended up leaving a day early because it was unbearably hot. Also no dishwasher as advertised.
