Lenox Montparnasse Hotel is a good value
This hotel is located in the 14th arrondisement (district or neighborhood) on a street that connects to two boulevards (Montparnasse and Edgar Quinet) You will find anything you need within walking distance: restaurants and bars that open until very late, grocery stores, cinemas, banks, pharmacy, a laundry, cheese, wine, fruit, bakery, vegetarian, tobacco, and cheese shops. There is also a small discount store and a hair salon!
The Vavin and Edgar Quinet metro stops are just around the corner, and there's also bus stops you can use.
The staff are multilingual and very helpful and polite, the ladies clean the room really nice and very punctually, you have access to a mini bar and safe in the room, they have a bar and also serve breakfast (for a charge) every morning. We felt very safe while walking around the area (even late at night)
Our room was small by American standards but very comfortable; the bathroom was small too but impeccably clean and well-equipped with nice towels and really cool shampoo and soap. The elevator is tiny but can handle at least two adults with 29" spinners without trouble.
We were assigned a 5ht floor room with a balcony and although you can occasionally hear traffic from the street, the windows and curtains can block the noise pretty good.
Don't forget to bring your transformer, adapter and a cord with several outlets if you are traveling in a group, and also an umbrella and light raincoats. You are going to need them.
