Montfort-sur-Meu Holidays from £425

The best thing about this hotel is the view. The rooms are ok (carpet a bit old, bathrooms could use remodelling) and on the small side. Pool was nice but very small and narrow and not particularly warm, so we didn’t stay in very long. The pool has a great view over the water and the views from the hotel rooms are stunning. The breakfast was quite basic with not many options and cost €35 plus fees. Overall the hotel and breakfast were not good value. The staff member who offered to give us a ride to our next hotel was very helpful. It wasn’t clear where to go to get the ferry and we did ask staff questions about the ferry routes, etc., but perhaps there was a language barrier. There’s a way to walk directly from the ferry terminal to the hotel, which we discovered ourselves on the way back! Staff didn’t offer to book any excursions for us. The price didn’t seem to match the luxury experience we expected. (My friend’s room was over $700 a night, mine was $548). Great views and the wine and cocktails are highly recommended!

Perfect place to stay when visiting Mont Saint Michel - a perfectly unobstructed view of the Mont, with fast and easy shuttle service, comfortable, clean room with a bar and restaurant on site. All we could ask for!

What a treat to stay right on the Mont and experience the quieter evening and early morning! Stairs to climb to a small room, which was all we needed. We could see the bay while standing at our window. Very comfortable queen size mattress. En suite bathroom was good though extremely tiny shower! The reason we gave only 4 stars is the following morning - when we arrived for breakfast at 9:33am (breakfast hours were 7:30-10:00 am) there was almost nothing left for breakfast. No scrambled eggs, no meat, no bread - all were gone and there was no effort to provide more or even apologize for the lack of items. Coffee machine was good, and there were some yogurt and a few whole eggs that one cooked in a hot water bath to become hard boiled. And some fruit. But we would recommend the hotel provide sufficient breakfast items for all their guests not just the early arrivals!

Lovely room, location... all better than expected given price for location! Breakfast was fine, minimal but fine.
