My husband and i absolutely loved our stay at Pestana Viking. Everyone in the resort was so nice, helpful and kind. Absolutely breathtaking views! Redonda Cove right behind the resort and other beaches walking distance. Cannot recommend this enough. Thank you guys so much! Can't wait to be back!

A really lovely place to stay. Our room, on the top floor, had wonderful sea and coastal views. Great walks to the beaches and plenty of sunbeds in the gardens. Indoor and outdoor pools. Great staff too. We had one silly problem as, on day one, their credit card system would not work so our purchases of drinks was not recorded! Eventually they did get it to work.

Beautiful condo , the place we checked in was different from the building we stayed in . Checkin a bit confusing because of that , otherwise lovely stay.

It was quiet when we came. Breakfast excellent, rooms comfy. We were upgraded and gad an amazing view. The sauna was nor working and the hot tub not hot. The pools are beautiful but were not heated. Steam room was warm. Everything else was excellent.

Amazing place to stay!
The view from balcony sea view very nice! Room spacious! The grounds where fantastic! Pool, view, lots of lounge chairs by the pool, pool bar! Buffet breakfast, very good and staff amazing! Walking distance to beach! On right tunnel through to a another beach! Incredible! Boat ride to caves! Unreal!

I really enjoyed my stay - the view of the ocean & cliffs was stunning. The reception desk staff was excellent - very friendly & helpful. I did find the bed mattress dry firm - I personally prefer a softer cozier mattress. The smoking on the other decks - both cigarettes & marijuana was annoying as I would need to move inside (I know - no fault of the hotel). Overall I had a great visit!

The lady at the reception was the most helpful. She really knows great customer service! We had great views from our suite. The room had everything we needed. The beds are outdated and a bit hard so I wasn't able to sleep well in it. However,overall we had a great time and location very close to our favourite beach.

Staff amazing. Food not great. But if u like fish im sure it will be fine. Rooms awesome. Views fantastic. Very clean. Could have avoided listening to tiling guys smashing the floors. A nice place but be prepared to walk everywhere to grab food. U wont find McDonalds close by.

Excellent setting. Buffet breakfast needs somr excitment ....samey samey for all 4 mornings we were there. Why?? Great service _ needed to print tickets for boat tour and staff did with a smile. One problem; parking is crazy...free for all really, just cant imagine what ur us like in high season.....weird.

Close to three beaches, restaurants, a few stores, it was very pleasant and the staff was nice. There were very nice views and if ou like to walk, exploring the surrounding coast was breathtaking.

The back of the peoperry is very nice but a room back there was not available. We got what they deacribe is a "garden view" which is actually the road. They also need parking for their guests.

Complete resort perfect for 5-6 days In Algarve. Slightly dated, a little 90s DDR Baltic germanisch but clean, in good repair, staff helpful. Have a half board option that is reasonable but there are other options within walking distance. That’s good because there is no parking on site. Found street parking ok. Price is good even in high season.

Tourist Hotel - Service Animals Not Welcome
The hotel is very downscale from what we are used to or expected. It truly is a "mass tourist" hotel! We were originally planning to stay for five days, having selected the hotel for its location and our first choice nearby was fully booked. My wife has a service dog, which was permitted in the hotel room, but when we checked-in we were told it wouldn't be allowed anywhere but in the room. Obviously, this defeats the point of a service dog - i.e. being with the person with the health challenge as an alert. When we learned that on check-in, we immediately began to find another hotel. Since there was no cancellation available on our reservation, we simply felt we had no choice but to pay twice for the same nights. However, after being contacted by Bookings.com, the hotel management agreed to charge us only for the night we stayed there. That was very much appreciated!!

Amazing staff, place could be cleaner, easy walk to the beach, and convenient to the caves. We went during medium/high season Jun 21-24, and it was not too frustrating for waiting or services. If you can get a good deal, I would say give it a try.

The reception area is nice. Our room never really cooled down, we had to have the window open and then got bitten by mosquitoes as no net on windows. When our room was cleaned the floor still had visible dirt and the coffee table and other tables were not cleaned. I didn't like that you have to walk through the dining / bar area to get to and from the pool area. The gym equipment was outdated and broken. The indoor swimming pool was strange with hidden blocks underwater and little space to swim. Staff were hard working and attentive at breakfast.

Not beach front. You can see it but the whole property is fenced in. I found the place kind of boring.
