The beach is gorgeous. But this isn't the upscale resort that it is marketed as. The facilities are old and rundown. The "suites" are pretty small, and the amenities are not all that.

Our unit was the deluxe oceanfront with balcony. It was very nice. Just like the the pictures. It was steps from the beach. Parking is away from the unit. But they have carts that will shuttle you anywhere whenever you like. The service was top notch with the shtuttle taking us to and from our car and the restaurant. They set up a bonfire on the beach every night. I'm glad we found this place. We will be back.

Beautiful spot on the pacific. Excellent staff. Restaurant on premises good. Pool is not heated very warm. I swim hard so it was ok but cold for soaking. The fireplace in the room is wonderful. I’d stay again

Friendly & courteous staff. Although there was a hiccup in our "ocean view" reservation-- I was called day of by front desk manager (Giselle) that the room we booked was no longer available and was given an alternate "partial ocean view". Explained that it was a momentous family time and needed to be close to family-she was able to accommodate us and comp for SALT & WOOD restaurant. Beautiful Resort, Clean and Spacious. Can't wait to go back!

All of the staff at the sanctuary were amazing, they made sure we were taken care of and even went above and beyond a few times. The view was amazing and the fire pits were fun for the entire family.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location is conveniently located close enough to to freeway access to make traveling around very easy. Having beach access was also a big plus.

Beautiful beach- a perfect place to walk and enjoy peace and quiet. A great stop after long day of flights and travel. Convenient to dine right there. Manager stated they are starting renovations this fall since some things starting to show age. We will come back again.

I was a bit disappointed because for the amount that I paid, I expected the room to be a bit more luxurious and clean. The photos shown of the rooms were deceiving. They looked so fancy and clean. The room needs to be updated, or deep cleaned. The carpet looked old, and sofa was old and dirty too. There was mold in the sink. Staff was friendly. Pillows smelled like wet dog. I liked the private beach, the area for kids, and the bonfires at night. The fireplace kept turning off and on, there’s no temperature control in the room. I’ve stayed in hotels much cleaner and nice than this one.

We had an oceanfront room and it was absolutely incredible! The staff were all so kind, engaging and helpful. The onsite restaurant was great and convenient. We had a welcome bottle of wine in our room which was so nice and much needed after a long drive. Pool was quiet and clean. If I had to complain about anything, it was a little annoying that other guests would set-up right outside our patio and while I get that the beach if for us all, I think there were other places for them to go (beach access is wide so lots of room for us all to spread out). Overall really great.
