Great hotel close to the wharf.

Pros: Dog friendly. Nice staff. Easy access to the wharf.
We had a great stay. Loved that this hotel is Pup friendly! We were able to walk around downtown. Short walk to the wharf for great eats, view and whale watching. Little construction at this time...but looking forward to see how it all looks at the end!

Location: Fisherman's Wharf - especially the sunset sailing cruise with appetizers
Well-equipped, comfortable, very friendly and helpful staff - easy walk to Fisherman's Wharf and Monterey Bay Aquarium

Clean, comfortable environment. Friendly staff. Excellent location. Hotel was quiet within each corridor but prone to significant noise from people outdoors on the weekend nights. Will definitely consider staying here upon return visits to Monterey.

Location: Shopping, the Cannery within walking distance.
This is the second time we have stayed at this hotel. The first time was excellent but this time was disappointing because of the way we were treated. First stay we booked through the hotel directly. This time we booked through the Expedia because we booked an entire vacation with several hotels. Expedia provides the convenience service by keeping your itinerary in one place, provides information on things to do at each location as well as booking items and reminders. After check-in at the hotel, the desk clerk told us that we could not have the courtesy WiFi code because we booked through a third party. We would have to pay a daily fee. We were also placed in a room on the 5th floor 3 hallways away from the nearest elevator, room 555. Since we have a dog that needs to go out frequently, that was very inconvenient. We felt second rate, we won't be going back. There are lots of other hotels. They lost a repeat customer over $9.95 a day and by putting us in the north forty.

Long weekend in Monterey

The hotel is in a great location and has nice views of the bay. It's also walking distance to the major sights in Monterey. Our room was roomy, clean and had a great view. Bathrooms looked recently updated. The service was ok. There is construction going on next to the hotel which caused some noise issues. Overall, given the location, I would stay again.

Convention and construction

A very large convention was held at the hotel making it very difficult to navigate as they took up the entire lobby. Just trying to get to the elevators was a struggle. The bar and restaurant were always full of convention goers and who would mingle in the public spaces "networking". The building behind the hotel was under renovation and the jack hammers started promptly at 8. When I mentioned the issues of not being able to get through the lobby to the hotel clerk she stated they had the right to rent out their space. Apparently as a guest we did not have rights!

Bel hôtel à Monterey

Pros: Belle grande chambre contemporaine avec balcon. La proximité de la marina et de l'aquarium ....tout se fait à pied. Une grande place où se balader.
Cons: Les travaux sont en cours sur le site de l'hôtel. Une fois terminés ce sera un super de bel endroit. Le stationnement n'est pas inclus.
Location: À visiter l'aquarium de Monterey. Sur les quais de bons petits Resto de fruit de mer. Belle marina.
Suite à l'annulation en ligne d'une nuit à l'hôtel à notre arrivée le personnel ne reconnaissait pas notre réservation. Heureusement que j'avais imprimé mes documents d'itinéraire. Après recherche du personnel en charge. ils ont pû vérifier l'état de notre itinéraire...Il a fallu cependant insistère et en guise d'excuse on nous crédita les frais de stationnement.
