I kept asking God, "Could this get any better?!" and then it would! Beautiful location that feels safe, lovely views (I had the 3rd floor balcony room)...I enjoyed the cucumber-melon hand soap and the complementary make-up wipes. My room had a table & chairs in the bedroom and another set on the balcony. It's a 1-minute walk from one of the most beautiful sunset views in the country (watch for the sea otters!). Several restaurants and bakeries are within a 10-minute walk from the Inn. The bed was comfortable. Only complaint was that the heater woke me up every time it cut on/off...and the trash truck came about 5 different times in the morning (beep! beep! beep!).

The area is beautiful. I have a lovely view of the ocean and the entire beachfront and paths are a block away. There's a beautiful park across the street and the ocean on the other side of it. An amazing grocery store 1 mile away with a beautiful walk. Lovely neighborhood. Nothing fake or fancy here just very sweet. We were so impressed we decided to stay another night. Also double queen bedroom was spacious with a lot of good places to put things away and very clean.

We liked the location and the view from our window! Property was quiet. The bed was very, very comfortable. The stale smell of the room was unpleasant and the bathroom was very, very small.

We stayed on ground/1st floor level in room with queen bed. Pros: Front desk service was amazingly fast and friendly. Parking was ok. Heater was working and kept the room warm. Cons: Room - not renovated, old and felt as quickly patch up job. No room service is provided unless you specifically request it or full maid service only staying 3 days. Shower head was old and bathtub drain black/moldy. The room was right next to the housekeeping service room and front desk, so we could hear a lot of service noise. During the day, we were not really there but in the night, loud tv and ringing from front desk is heard when guest comes in. Registration parking points all the headlights to that room. The room had curtains but easy to see through/ no black-out curtains, no privacy. Tv was anthena grainy and no working remote. Ants and ant traps were under the sink. Not kid friendly and definitely not worth the price.

Limited parking. If you get back at night, you’ll likely not find parking on-site. One of the front desk guys was not friendly, the other two were fine. The room itself was ok. Good size, clean.

This property is definitely old and not fancy by any stretch of the imagination. However, the price point doesn’t dictate luxury accommodations. This hotel is across the street from a gorgeous beach and trail. The facility, though old, was very clean and spacious. I’d stay here again

Not bad for an older, and I mean older hotel. If your use to a firm mattress this will disappoint. Its a vacation, right? Rooms have what a traveler needs, microwave, phone ports and restaurants within a 10 minute walk. Upstair guest have zero respect for anyone but themselves. If your looking for a relatively quiet nights sleep, this is going to disappoint. The staff does what they can to help solve these issues but people will be people. The good thing about the noise though is everyone eventually goes to sleep. Would we stay there again? Yes, but on the top floor.

My wife and i stay here every time that we visit Monterey. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Some rooms could use a bit of a renovation, but that doesn't affect the overall quality of the stay

The photos online do not represent reality with this hotel. Very dingy, room was ice cold when we arrived. Could not sleep… mattress felt like a wood floor. I am so disappointed with my stay that I am considering writing a letter to the city of Pacific Grove for allowing such an establishment to advertise so falsely. Doesn’t hotels.com validate the pictures sent. The front desk was very kind and jovial but his working conditions looked grim .

My boyfriend and I had a lovely time at Lovers Point Inn. Yes, the building is on the older side, but our room was remodeled and very clean. We had a balcony which was so nice to hear the ocean at night. Across the street is a walking path right on the ocean, there's a restaurant and brewery too. The main street is a couple blocks away and Monterey is 5 min drive away. Pacific Grove is just utterly beautiful and this hotel was a perfect introduction to seeing all that this place has to offer. I think the only qualm was that you can hear other people in the rooms, like the t.v., but it did not particularly bother us as we had the room right above the check-in office, so I think we got lucky. Thank you for a beautiful stay!
