First impression disappointing
Within the same price category of other motel, this fell short in comparison. It's an old motel that needs work done. This area is usually are higher priced because of the location attractions.However, it is highly competitive as well and most motel/hotel focus on customer service and cleanliness. This place needed a lot of work with repairs and renovations. The two rooms we viewed had something wrong with it. It had windows broken, was noisy because it's next to highway 1, not fully clean, and with bugs in the room and spider web on one corner because of broken window that was not fix. The room was really tiny. The room should not have been rented. We complained and they gave us another room that was better and bigger but that room still also needed repairs in the bathroom. The second room was 1 king bed standard as the first room. Changing the room was a hassle not needed had they checked the room. We lost some time in the inconvenience. It puts a damper on the vacation from the start. You want to feel like you are on a vacation and that you have a clean,functioning room,not having to trouble shoot problem. If you want a "motel customer service experience" and do not mind the inconvenience, then the motel may suffice. Finally, Expedia customers do not receive the same level of customer service as other customers. In our experience with this region and with booking within the same price category motel, there are better places than here. I hope they can improve in the future.
