I absolutely love the food, the people from front desk to waiters and housekeepers at this resort. The entertainment was awesome. Not sure what the name of the band was on 15 April but the singer was phenomenal!!! Shout out to Country for making us unknowingly enter a dance contest!!! Uuuugggh!!

You cannot beat the location here! Five minutes from the airport and beautiful sea views. Staff were very friendly and helpful and the grounds are beautiful. Old world charm and elegance in the dining and entry way. Great show on Saturday night poolside. Overall loved our stay here and would return in a heartbeat!

The hotels is outdated and poorly maintained. No bedding quilt just covers on the bed. We had to request a quilt / blanket upon arrival. The second day the housekeeper took the couple of towels we were provided and never replaced them. Shampo, shower wash, etc were not replaced either. We requested all these item when going back to the room and to our surprise they took nearly an hour to be delivered. This hotel advised six restaurants! Not all of them are fully operating and we hardly were able to make one reservation to one of them. This so an all inclusive hotel and we were limited on the amount of things we could order, honestly ridiculous. Additionally, you need a card to get towels at their own private beach. Front desk never give us one or even inform us about it. On the bright side, some of the stuff was nice and helpful.

After reading some of the other reviews about the food quality, wifi and towel issues I was somewhat hesitant at what to expect. The food and service was excellent. I enjoyed the food every day and looked forward to it, unlike at other higher rated resorts I've been to. If you love authentic Jamaican food you'll be happy. They don't make the jerk chicken super spicy like how I know it to be. But it's seasoned well, and they provide lots of hot sauce for those who want more spice. There were other reviews claiming the Italian restaurant was the best...a lie dem a tell. It was the most bland food there and my only disappointment. Wifi worked with no issues. Clean room and fresh towels daily. The private beach is a short walk across the street and breath taking. The glass boat tour was great. Bars and services wonderful with friendly helpful staff. I wìll definitely go back first chance I get. Loved it and didn't want to leave!!!

We were very disappointed in the resort. There was the buffet and 1 restaurant. The buffet was often low on food and repetitive serving the same food.The beach was nice and the food at beach was ok. All the other all inclusive resorts we have been to had alot going on at resort...pool activites and many different restaurants....pretty disappointing.. I would like some type of refund...we didnt get what we paid for.

The stay was excellent value for money. The food and drink were fine, but, perhaps a bit limited in options and repetitive. Also, when the hotel was busiest at weekends and public holidays, stuff ran out quite quickly and replenishments were not quick, which created queues. Overall though, an excellent stay, and I would certainly go back, but not for 10 days.

Great property for the price. The beach area was wonderful, with two coves and plenty of chairs. We enjoyed the grill and drinks at the beach cafe. The buffet food wasn't for us, but other people seem to enjoy. The pool bar was enjoyable and the pool snack cafe in the evening offered a good grilled cheese, wrap and ice cream, among other things. Though the chef seemed stressed and they should have two people and open up earlier. Overall we would stay here again. Great value for the money, walking distance to the Hip Strip and very close to the airport.

Front desk unprofessional, rude. We have booked a standard room and at 3:00PM as told went to pick up the keys. The safe on this room was broken. The response was that they are in construction. Understandable and requested room with working safe. We were told to wait and after awhile we were escorted to an other room to find out that there were no safe as well. Already was 5:30. We went to the beach and returned later allowing then to sort this out. Came back and we were escorted to an other room, full size bed, terrible smell and no hot water. After long trip and long way we were Exhausted and to avoid additional delay we kept the room keeping balcony door all time open to avoid the fool odor. Slept tight due to bed size and mini pillows. In addition, the main dining room was OK staff and service although limited food options however the beach bar service were terrible. The lady on the drinks side of the bar was extremely rude. She need retraining on costumer care. Very, very rude. Dates of our stay 4/3, 4/4, 4/5, 4/6 - never returning and never recommending. Disappointed completely and waste of money and vacation time.

The SeaGarden Beach resort is a charming hotel with authentic Jamaican flair. The entire stuff is native Jamaican. Inwould like to mention the bell boy, Richie, who had been very helpful and friendly all the time. Smiling at pu and staying patient with no matter issue you approached him. The beach of the hotel is beautiful No high waves and clear ocean water. There is a more quiet section and one with daily music entertainment if you are up or open to it. I will come back for sure! I stayed with my son who also still speaks about the ocean and all you can explore around Montego Bay (nature wise). Anke with Luke

A lovely local Jamaican hotel. I reserved upon a recommendation and was pleasantly pleased with the stay. Excellent customer service, tasty, local Jamaican food and a good variety, mix of dishes. I stayed with two Jamaicans and they were also impressed with the food as locals. A v.good all inclusive hotel and well worth the reasonable cost. The entertainment was fantastic also. Saturday night first week of April 24' the culture group performed folk tales, songs, and displayed the history of Jamaica's dialect, music and people in a great, enjoyable and well-welcomed manner. I would come to this hotel again if in Mo Bay for the weekend or a couple of days. The only negatives was there was no long, full body mirror in the hotel room. There were 3 guests in our room but only 2 items such as bottles of water and towels were provided daily; with 3 guests they should provide 3 items. Last negative was the ocean view room at rhe entrance of the hotel was noisy at night on Friday and Saturday. Locals played extremely loud, booming music at night or early morning around 1am which disturbs rest and night time periods.

Seagarden is a quaint property that is clean and comfortable. It is not fancy or upscale, but well kept. The rooms are all different, with different amenities. Be specific when booking or by email in advance and they will do their best. Plush amenities were lacking, like extra blankets etc. but the front desk was usually able to accomodate requests. Rooms near the pool tend to hear more noise in the evening from the entertainment and disco. The beach is beautiful and has many areas to relax both in sand or on patio that lead to the water. Food is excellent in all dining areas, especially liked the beach bar and food. We paid extra for dinner in the Chatham restaurant and it was worth the money. The drinks and wine were great. The nightly entertainment varied and was always fun. The nightclub is on the smaller side for those who plan to dance. The tour desk staff was very helpful with bookings and questions. I would stay here again.

The staff was very nice and kind. The food was hit or miss! The downside was we only got one wash rag the entire six days we were there! Luckily I brought my own but everytime we ask house keeping for some they either said they didn’t have any or they would bring us some and never did. Also hide anything sweet in your room because we had mini ants in our room from having candy sitting out on the dresser and had to have house keeping come and spray our room.

The photos posted on this site are all fake or at least 10 years old. No water pressure. Toilets had trouble flushing. Front desk staff were rude and should be retrained. I was given a dirty room with plaster coming off the crown moldings, dirty tub, and dirty toilet. I called the front desk and was moved to a cleaner part of the resort. Bugs crawling all over the room. All the bad reviews are correct. Wouldn't recommend this place to a dog to stay.

First in Jamaica for me and my husband, and first real big trip for us and our 2 yr old daughter in many years! Location: great location, near the airport (walkable from there, but did not do it with a young child). Close to the Hip Strip where you can wonder around shopping, food items and many rental car places near by Resort: only one buffet & only open for specific meal times. There is beach grill (serves limited items - but good) and poolside deli (serves very limited items - ice cream was not good). The Italian restaurant on site is decent - needs reservation (limited seating and books up fast, closed two nights a week). Chatum restaurant $38 USD pp (did not even bother with this place). We enjoyed the variety in the buffet, the food was decent to good. My husband loved the curry goat, lamb, stew chicken, macaroni pie, etc (local cuisine as he is from Trinidad) and my daughter and I enjoyed various other North America breakfast items and lunch and dinner we enjoyed the veggies, rice, sometime a meat dish. If you are foodie, then this resort may not be for you. Things to do: not much for a 2 yr old, apart from the 2 feet kiddie pool (she did not going to the beach the salt water In her eyes turned her off), the gym is in a room with four walls (not very inviting), the games room (air hockey, basketball net throw, etc) are for older kids. We made do despite limited things to do with a kid. Staff: friendly and extremely helpful.

Everything was great about this place except one thing. Apparently they had a "water main break" before we arrived. So the first 24 hours, we had no water in the room. No sink, no shower, and yes, no using the toilet. Now, I understand that this wasn't their fault, but the lack of communication was frustrating. They didn't tell us when we checked in, and nobody would tell us any kind of updates or timing for the repairs to be done.

Property has potential but needs a lot of work. The entire staff needs to be retrained in providing quality customer service. The food was not great, my room had tiny bugs crawling around and to make matters worst the house keepers were so unprofessional. I should never be at a hotel "begging" for towels and wash cloth. Unfortunately until there are some major changes made I refuse to waste my money staying here nor would I recommend this property.

The property and staff were great. Rooms clean and food was nice. Specialty restaurant was surprisingly very good. We were however very disappointed in the front desk and problems with water in the rooms. When we arrived no one advised that there was no water in our room, NONE! No one could tell us when water would be back, which seemed to be impacting everyone at the resort. We were forced to walk to the lobby to use the restrooms and had no shower access for 2-days. When water was restored we had no hot water until our last day, so cold showers only. Absolutely no communication on this issue was given and when I mentioned to the manager at the managers cocktail party that that was our only issue, she walked away from me and didn’t even want to apologize or acknowledge that it was a concern we had. We understand things happen, but having no communication on the issue and not having running showers and toilets at a beach resort is a BIG ISSUE!

We left SeaGarden on Friday 3/29. The mixed reviews worried me but DO NOT listen to them. The place was great, it was fun, the beach is awesome. It's small and not very busy. The beach grill is the BEST. We ate all the Jerk Chicken. The food at the buffet was also really good, especially the breakfast omelets. I guess my only complaint would be the water temps in the shower but it didn't bother me and we didn't take any time to go complain to the front desk like so many other reviewers. Probably the only way it would have bothered me is if I had small children. If you are a complainer then maybe this place isn't for you. Pick a more expensive corporate place to vacation.
