Really neat location and would go back soley based on the outdoor activities but the place was a bit unorganized and cleanliness and upkeep were not the best. It was still good though. I would not avoid it, just manage some expectations and then have a great time :)
The animal refuge and butterfly tour are well worth every minute

Excellent choice for your stay in Volcan. I stayed for 2 nights as solo traveler. Great staff and management. Everyone was helpful and friendly. Volcan is a great base for exploring Cerro Punto region for a day or 2. I highly recommend this hotel.
