Frequently asked questions

When is the best time to go to Monreal?
The best time to visit Montreal is during September, when the city comes alive with vibrant festivals and a pleasant autumn atmosphere. With temperatures ranging from 15 to 22 Celsius, this month offers a delightful climate for exploring the city's rich history and culture, whether you're wandering through the cobblestone streets of Old Montreal or enjoying the colourful foliage in one of the many parks.

During the peak season from June to August, Montreal attracts a large number of tourists, drawn by its lively atmosphere, outdoor events, and culinary delights. While this is a bustling time filled with activities, September presents a unique opportunity for those who prefer a balance between enjoying the city's offerings and avoiding the summer crowds. You can experience the city's renowned food scene, with many local restaurants showcasing seasonal dishes in a more relaxed setting.

For couples and adventure seekers, September is particularly enchanting thanks to the Montreal International Jazz Festival and various art events that often take place. Strolling along the waterfront or enjoying a picnic at Mount Royal Park becomes even more enjoyable as the weather cools slightly, making outdoor activities comfortable and inviting.

If you're considering a more budget-friendly option, visiting in late October can also be advantageous. While the weather may be a bit cooler, averaging around 10 to 15 Celsius, you'll find fewer tourists, allowing for a more intimate experience as you explore the city's museums and local markets.
Can I cancel my hotel reservation on Expedia?
Many Expedia hotel reservations are refundable, provided that you cancel before the hotel's cancellation deadline – this is often within 24-48 hours of your scheduled arrival. If you have a non-refundable booking, it might still be possible to receive a refund if you cancel it within 24 hours of booking. Be sure to check your booking confirmation for the exact cancellation policy. For maximum flexibility, use our "Fully refundable property" filter during your search to find the right Monreal hotel for you.
