Hotel is quite basic but is very clean and with pleasant staff. Overall a good experience, its centrally located and certainly worth the cost.

Nice hotel, poor area.
Comfy stay, pleasant staff. Good breakfast buffet. Private parking a bonus. The town was nice but sadly the area has a high influx of immigrants that congregate on all streets, making it feel unsafe especially after dark. Lots of tatty junk shops everywhere. Over-ran with kebab takewaways. Hotel receptionist recommended a traditional restaurant which was lovely.

This hotel is very dated looking but also part of its charm, considering where it’s located. It was clean and very quiet - best sleep ever!!

Staff super helpful, hotel pretty old. You can notice some minor renovation started in the corridor, however the room still need to be refurbished. Overall quality/price… did the job. Breakfast was good and a good selection of European style breakfast…

Two things standout. One, the breakfast are great. Two, the hotel location is in the heart of town. Otherwise, the rooms are nice. There is an elevator. The staff are friendly and helpful.

Nice Hotel

Hotel looks like from the 80's. On the picture rooms looks bigger than accutully are, overnight you can hear other guest from another rooms through the walls.

No Frills hotel -
Check in was easy but disappointing. The gentleman at the desk was extremely short with us when we asked questions about local restaurants available. As this is Easter Sunday we were sure what to expect. The room had a terrible sewer odor, but opened windows to air out the room. The bathroom was Newley remolded and clean, just sewer odor. The beds are firm, the pillows are flat rocks, and the blankets need replacement. The TV is only in local Italian, and is very small 24 inch screen. The breakfast was nice simple variety of European type. They have two automatic machines 1 for coffee and 1 for juice. Both serve up a fake rendition of your request. If you like instant coffee you'll be fine. if you like tang orange drink it may be similar. The lady server was most excellent and offered to makes us real Italian coffees. The lady at the front desk in the morning was SO MUCH friendlier than the previous gentleman who checked us in. She provided so much info for sites and restaurants...we were so grateful. Check out was a breeze, we stopped at the desk, a different gentleman was there and told us thank you for our stay, and provided us our passports back (yes they take your passports upon checkin) and off to the airport we went.

Convinient hotel in Monfalcone
I liked the breakfast, even though the personnel at restaurant is not the most friendly, they do their job. Hotel facilities are aged, but kept clean and working properly. Just in the center of Monfalcone, walk distance.

A Great Find for a Trieste-area Visit
This hotel was exactly what we were looking for on our vacation to the Northeastern region of Italy. This was a great little hotel that was charming and comfortable. The room was very comfortable, although the bed and pillows were typically European (hard, flat) but after a few days of power walking in other tourist areas, it was not a big issue. There are plenty of dining options within walking distance as well as a very nicely appointed breakfast at the hotel with made to order espresso. Additionally, the local train station is a short walk away and this provides easy access to Trieste for a wonderful day trip. On-site parking is in a small basement garage which was very convenient. I did not notice if there was air conditioning as we just opened the window. There are local apartments just across the street, so if you chose this option you will hear the neighbors at night. This wasn't a big issue for us. Overall this is a great hotel for exploring the Trieste area and we will probably be staying here again upon our return to Monfalcone.

Nice clean hotel for business trips
Monfalcone is a ship building town. Apart from its proximity to Trieste it has little to recommend it. The Excelsior is a clean and comfortable hotel with pleasant staff. They serve a reasonable continental breakfast but they do not have a restaurant. There is a small restaurant across the road which has a limited menu but the food is the best in town

A late arrival but the staff were very friendly and helpful. Beds either too soft or too hard (we had a triple) and the neighborhood had some noise, but overall a good experience and the breakfast in the morning was quite good.

Lovely hotel, helpful staff, massive bathroom
We stayed 2 nights there and were pleased that the staff spoke English and was quite helpful. The bed is cozy, the bathroom was massive and had hairdryer which is a bonus for them. There was also an air conditioning and TV but all the channels were in Italitan of course. The only down side was the breakfast. It was only cold, croissants, salami, cheese and jams, but no eggs. My recommendation to improve on that, but the coffee was nice. Recommended hotel with a parking space.

Il soggiorno è andato bene, ma va detto onestamente che la struttura è parecchio vecchia, necessità manutenzione e ammodernamento. La pittura del soffitto nel bagno sfogliava, la porta della camera faticava a chiudersi causa telaio porta che muoveva, arredamento molto vecchio che sa di vissuto
