The property was great.
However, my family's experience in the restaurant was horrible. The four of us arrived at 8:30pm, with reservations. First, we were seated near the entryway of the restaurant, a location decidedly not in the main dining area. Interestingly, everyone else who subsequently arrived for dinner were seated in the main dining area. I would also note, that we were the only diners in that area of the restaurant. Once seated, we had to endure a full 45 minutes of waiting before we were able to order our first round of drinks. To add insult to injury, our meal arrived at least another 30-45 minutes late. Furthermore, upon arrival, it was incorrect. Essentially, while the food was good enough, no meal is worth the level of service/disrespect we received. It took a significant effort of self-restraint to resist simply canceling our dinner order and immediately walking directly to the hotel manager's office to deliver a personal complaint.
During check-out, I was asked about our stay. I provided the information
presented above. (synopsized version). The person at the front desk expressed sympathy while simultaneously asking for my credit card to pay for our dinner.
As this was our last night of a ten-day trip to Spain, I had hoped for much more.
