Largely a good stay

This was my second time staying at the Ibis Mollet and once again it was largely a good stay. My room was generously sized, clean and with a very comfortable bed. Breakfast was 7 euros and perfectly adequate, and the staff were all really friendly and helpful. On the downside the dinner menu is very limited and the food not good. I ordered a ham pizza and the pizza that arrived had clearly just been microwaved and then had cold ham stuck on top of it. The ham on my pizza looked exactly like the ham they served at breakfast, which clearly shouldn't be the case. I also had to get my room card reactived twice, the first time apparently because I had over 300 euros outstanding. It would have been helpful if someone had told me about this before I went upstairs and found my key card didn't work. And the second time yet again my key card wouldn't work about 45 minutes before check out. And perhaps unfortunatley I ended up with a disabled wetroom which flooded every time I had a shower. It was also missing a hand towel rail and a shelf in the shower area.

My stay was very good, there was a mix up with the booking site i used and the hotels system so when I arrived I had to pay twice, but when the hotel learnt this they were very understanding and helpful and refunded me my payment right away.

Average hotel

Pros: Bed, clean, average, TV
Cons: Include a mini fridge, shower with more pressure
Location: Quiet location, Lidl next door, near motorway easy access to drive to Barcelona and nearby cities/towns
The hotel is nice, average and basic. It has the necessities, bed is quite comfortable, bathroom nice size and room is clean (cleaned daily). TV is nice too. Some storage space but not much. Only complaint is that there is no mini fridge. Not much around the hotel, very quiet but we rented a car so it was fine and easy to drive to nearby towns and Barcelona. Would recommend if you want a cheap hotel a 20 min drive to Barcelona.

Average hotel.

Completely far away from the centre of Barcelona. Ruined our days there as getting to and from the centre of Barcelona was €90 per Uber journey which is ridiculous. Nearest bus stop is 15 minute walk. No trains nearby, expect for Santa Rosa which is a 25 minute walk. Room was facing the motorway which prevented us from having a decent sleep. Housekeepers were interruptive and demanded to clean at a certain time, no regards to when you’re sleeping although there is a “do not disturb” sign. Lacked basic hotel necessities, such as a safe, felt scared for our belongings as people had easy access to our room. Tv kept glitching, horrible area to have a hotel in. It was a really ghetto and random area. I would not suggest this particular hotel area to anyone looking to visit Barcelona. Horrid 7 days stay
