I have stayed here a few times now and it always been very good staff always very helpful .... it was very busy but the staff were very good at keeping the noise levels down, near the rooms, I look forward to my next visit
We were staying in room 54 - opposite a cleaning station, we were woken up early by the door continually shutting and voices of the staff coming in and out of the room, otherwise the hotel met are needs fully.
Stayed one night here on 6th February. Hotel is well located in the middle of the town. We had no problems with on site parking, it was clean and comfortable albeit a little dated in places. Staff were helpful and efficient.
Lovely gardens, beautifully decorated common areas. The rooms are small, but not too small for English standards. The waiters and bar attendants were really nice, the reception staff so so. The food was really good. The location is at the start of many lovely trails, and the views from the rooms into the gardens lovely.
The area is really great for hikers, bikers and those who wish to experience the english countryside. Short drive to Heatrhrow, easy parking, close to train station.
We stayed one night in a double room upstairs at the back. Reception staff and evening bar staff were very accomodating, helpful and friendly. Rooms were a standard hotel size and the bed was comfortable. The room and the en-suite bathroom (shower, no bath) was clean and had everything we needed. We didn't have much of a view, but this wasn't an issue for us, and the room was quiet.
We ate in the bar in the evening and the food was plentiful, well-cooked and good value for money (fish and chips and gourmet burger). The choice of beers was a bit limited for our tastes.
The breakfast was a bit disappointing. There was a very limited buffet breakfast (a few cereal choices, a few flavours of fruit yoghurt, a few small croissants, no toast/bread, cheese, meats etc. and the fruit bowl had grapefruit and a few apples, but no bananas, no berries). We had the cooked breakfast of scrambled eggs on toast and smoked salmon and the smoked salmon wasn't very good.

The Inn on the Green is a find old coaching inn found in the beautiful Surrey countryside - far enough from towns and cities to provide relaxing, stress-free accommodation, fine real ales and highly recommended food. As a place to get away for a long weekend or short break I highly recommend it. I will be going back there.
