We opted for meals inclusive and was pleasantly surprised by the quality and quantity of food. The staff was amazingly attentive! Please consider a pickup at Shinjo station, we took a cab, there is a public bus but it was a two hour wait and we had luggage. Can arrange for luggage storage at Shinjo station? When train service is restored from Shinjo to semi onsen station perhaps that will be a viable option. Yumeminoyado will pick up at Semi onsen station with prior notice. Email communications with the hotel was responsive also, appreciated that! Overall a fantastic stay, highly recommend! It was our first time at an onsen (we are Canadian) and it was a great introduction as there was both private and public onsens.
