Dining was very disappointing,and not as described in the menu.Haggis was missing from the chicken dish, the sticky toffee puding was cold and stodgy. used plates were not removed from the table. No fruit available for breakfast.

Last minute break booked here as I had a few days off work. Excellent place to visit, the visitor centre was educational & very enjoyable. Hotel was lovely & comfortable, great pool & amenities. I’d definitely stay again.

Spoiled but not the fault of the hotel
Stay spoiled by next room having a v major domestic - screaming and swearing in the early hours - but can't blame the hotel for that

Amazing time, room was lovely, staff very helpful and food was delicious. Minor minor negative point, phone signal poor due to the area and WiFi present but not the best. Pool facilities were great with gym swim sauna and steam room all clean. Even with the small negative id be back tonight and definitely will return.

Character Building
We arrived quite late in the dark and found it quite difficult to locate the hotel as Google Maps wasn't functioning. It is not well signposted. After a few wrong turns we eventually got there. We'd booked one of the bigger suites for the night and the room was very spacious, warm and clean. The place has a lot of character, breakfast was excellent and there are some nice walks by the Clyde to walk off the calories. Friendly staff too.

Lovely stay overall. The Staff were very friendly and the Suite was very nice. The Food & drink was good value for money. The Spa area was nice, However the pool was very cold which was disappointing. Hopefully the pool temperature can be addressed as we would love to go back.

Excellent. However, we came down for breakfast at 09:15 and it was 09:55 before it was delivered to our table. I had asked for a fried egg but got a poached egg. I would have normally asked for it to be changed (it was very runny( white and yoke)) but I wasn’t prepared to wali another possible 30 mins.

Unique location for relaxation and great food!
Loved our stay here! Never fails to please with views and atmosphere. We had to take gentle walks this time but so enjoyable. Great staff in all departments especially Kirsten who looked after us at dinner. Make sure you try the ice-cream in the cafe.

Staying on a World Heritage Site
Had a fab stay here. Pool and gym were available to use and staff were extremely at explaining everything. Food in the restaurant was fabulous, so delighted to have stayed here.

Staff where great,room was very clean ,so was the spa but both my husband and myself was very disappointed with the food ,we both sent back more foid than we ate at dinner time and breakfast time !!!

Wonderful hotel in a fabulous location
What an amazing hotel, big rooms very clean, all facilities great. Beautiful swimming pool, steam room and sauna. River view room outstanding for our honeymoon. The walk to the Falls of Clyde, beautiful and the Museum was really interesting and really added to our stay. Really enjoyed the Scottish breakfast, the eggs benedict was delicious, dinner was lovely too, we had the burger and the braised pork belly, staff helpful as well.

Lovely rooms and buildings but really let’s the place down is the staff and food. Staff just don’t care. Food over cooked and dry both at breakfast and dinner. I complained and staff shrugged their shoulders and said I’ll let manager know. Same happened last time I stayed. Such a shame. I stay up here every two weeks for work but actively choose elsewhere because of this. Only coffee machine is in bar which is closed at breakfast time so no proper coffee.

Lovely stay
Lovely hotel. Although busy with a wedding the noise levels were appropriate later in the evening and so did not impact the stay. Pool area clean and pleasant. Food was delicious (evening meal and breakfast). Room needs a bit of attention. We were put in an accessible room. Window would not close, bed linen was stained, accessible shower would not drain properly. Nothing major - from looking at previous reviews this is something that managers are going to address. Amazing setting. Would recommend to friends.

This was a lovely hotel in a beautiful old village the river runs behind the hotel which was a lovely view out of our bedroom window we kept the windows open all night it was lovely to hear the river. We used the restaurant and it was OK a little expensive but it was a nice meal breakfast was OK had better. Liked the pool we would return but probably wouldn’t bother with breakfast

This is a nice property in a beautiful setting. The historical tour is definitely worth doing. The restaurant is nice and food is tasty. Staff is helpful and accommodating.

Perfectly situated inside New Lanark visitors centre and right beside the river. Friendly staff and lovely decor in keeping with the historical building. Breakfast could be better but evening meal and bar excellent. 😁
