Perfect stay in Mobile

Posted 01-Apr-2016 on Hotels
Very nice and cosy B&B in the historic Oakleigh District in Mobile, Alabama. Friendly atmosphere incl. common breakfast with the other guests (B&B with 3 rooms); daily fresh prepared. Great innkeeper giving excellent information about the city & the area, nightlife, restaurants and the life on the gulf coast in southern Alabama. Highly recommended for travelers who do not want to stay in a hotel chain and instead want to get to know the area. However, great also for a short stay to refresh after a long drive.

We enjoyed our stay at this historic B&B. The innkeeper is very knowledgeable about the area and made several recommendations that enhanced our stay in Mobile. We will use this B&B exclusively when we travel to Monile in the future.

Historical mansion close to downtown

Posted 07-Feb-2016
We liked the comfortable spacious room and the nice traditional breakfast in the elegant dining room. The inn is steeped in history and tradition and a convenient and safe place to stay when visiting Mobile during Mardi Gras or any other time as well.

Cute, quiet little house

Decided to stay downtown for a Mardi Gras Ball. It was a cute little house and made for a great 1 night stay. Very quiet house. So glad there were no children there. Close to where I needed to go.

Charming and comfy

Beautiful old mansion in the middle class historic neighborhood of Mobile. The proprietor Steven cooked excellent breakfast every morning of our 3 night stay and he was using tasty local ingredients. The room had a lot of charm and was very comfy. You can have nice walks in that neighborhood, admiring hundreds of nicely kept XIXth century residences. It felt like a safe neighborhood.

B&B review.

Excellent host (Steven ) who showed us grounds, history of the B&B, and interesting facts of Mobile. Unless local ordinance restricts, sidewalk/roadside signage would benefit guests greatly who are unfamiliar with location.

Quick trip Delight

Posted 23-Dec-2015
Pros: Rooms were very clean. High 12 foot ceilings! Beautifully decorated
Cons: We forgot to get the WiFi number before heading out. When we returned it was too late to call. It might be nice to post it in the rooms.
Location: Close to downtown activity. We ate at a local pub. Great atmosphere. Yummy burgers.
This was a last minute trip. I use to live in Mobile and wanted to experience true old Mobile hospitality. Sorry it was a one night stay. We plan to return. Beautiful pool! Yummy pancakes and eggs with sausage. Delightful!
