This hotel is dated and needs work. The elevators, Internet, and air conditioning all did not work more often then they worked. We had several rooms and items were stolen from a few of them. There were foul smells often in and around the property. The one highlight was the pool service. The waiters were excellent.
I lived our stay at the Garza blanca. We had a 2 bedroom panoramic suite. The view was absolutely breathtaking. We had a deck with a hammock, table and chairs, lounging chairs and best of all, a hot tub. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The grounds are amazing, lots of detail. We had breakfast every day at the Blanca blue restaurant for their buffet which was excellent. The STK steakhouse was good, not the best I've ever had, but good. The beach area was small, but the pools were awesome. As far as location, it's about 20 minutes from downtown, but worth the drive for sure. If you want a relaxing vacation this is the perfect place, it feels like an oasis. The spa was AMAZING, they have hydro jet treatments that are fabulous. I can't say enough good things about our stay!

Hotel was Awesome. Rooms were amazing, Staff was great. FOOD WAS GLORIOUS!!!
This is a Great Hotel. The Only thing lacking here is the lack of a good beach. The beach is still suffering from last years Hurricane Season.
We stayed at the grand penthouse. Very worth the money! Spectacular views, beach and jungle! We got all inclusive, very high quality foods and drinks. Just one thing, there aren't many options on the menus, specially for room service.
good rate, quiet hotel not alot of guests. easy to find and friendly staff.
endless pool needed more water, no coffee maker in the rooms. could use a thorough clean in the rooms. a bit musty and mildewy wouldn't recommend it for anyone with asthma.
great view. if you're an independent traveller that doesn't need the amenities of a hotel and spend most of your time adventuring this hotel is for you. on the highway between Puerto Vallarta and Manzanillo so a great spot to start from if you're exploring the southern Jalisco coast.
I would stay again.
A smoldering, behind-the-scenes affair between Elizabeth Taylor and Richard Burton put Puerto Vallarta on the tourist map. Burton was on location in Mismaloya for John Huston’s 1964 film, The Night of the Iguana. Today, visitors can see the ruins of the film site in the hills above town. Mismaloya remains a small town where beachside huts serve the catch of the day with cold cerveza (beer).)
