"Sadly this hotel really isn’t suitable for Europeans or Americans. We were served with little warmth or hospitality upon arrival and not custom to our taste of breakfast or lifestyle. Everything shuts in the town centre at 5pm and dinner and bar ends 8pm here so it was a very lonely experience. Room was tired, dirty and small gestures such as no coffee offered at 9.35 (5 minutes after breakfast ended!) little things like this made a disappointing visit. The food was very raw and undercooked in the French breakfast. Some staff such as the gentleman with glasses on concierge fantastic"

"I strongly recommend DORMY INN that offers travellers easily access to and from Mishima Station, after a trip from Tokyo, Kyoto, or Mt Fuji. It's clean and rooms freshly cleaned every day, with hot spring bathing and sauna plus cold plunge pool. Breakfast is buffet style with something for everyone. The staff are friendly and attentive to travellers needs. Car parking also available. It's so easy to walk around Mishima and you'll find places of beauty dotted around main streets and back street walks. I'll stay again at DORMY INN next time I'm in Mishima city."

"The view of Mt. Fuji from our balcony was amazing each morning and was the highlight of our vacation. Pros: The private onsen, sauna, size of unit, 2 toilets, 2 showers, quiet location (on Lake Ashi) across from 7-eleven and where Pirate ship would dock, bathroom amenities provided, kitchen with tools to cook. Cons: can’t pinpoint but smell of rooms were musty especially when AC was turned off. A lot of dust around and sofa in one area was stained and should be cleaned; Difficulty with washing machine. It doesn’t dry fully so hang your clothes overnight. Otherwise, location and view was breathtaking."

"Overall it was a 10/10, only thing I wish would have been different is the rooms that aren’t the villas had baths instead of stand up showers only. That would have made it perfect, while not being an onset giving the onsen vibes. Overall highly recommended if you plan on staying hakone for an extended period of time and you’re on a budget."
