Perfect quiet and calm place to stay.
The hotel is beautiful. The staff are so friendly and could not be more helpful if they tried. For a calm and peaceful stay, I’d strongly recommend this place.

Excellent hotel with extremely friendly and helpful staff. I spent two nights here and everything about the hotel was great. The room was clean and spacious with a large balcony. The breakfast was excellent and the swimming pool is lovely. The hotel is set in a mini oasis with plants and trees everywhere which are lit up a night. It’s about a 15 minute walk from the main road however the hotel provide a free Tuk tuk service to the main road until 7pm. I never felt unsafe walking back to the hotel at night and all the locals are very friendly. I would highly recommend this hotel and would like to say a big thank you to Pria and the rest of the staff who made me feel very welcome during my stay and also organised an early morning canal tour along the canal which backs onto the hotel where I saw a variety of birds as well as water monitors.

First of all a huge thank you to the team; Milan, Dinudu and Pryinka for making our stay amazing. This is by far the best hotel in Mirissa and you receive a five star service. He accommodation is super clean and the rooms are well equipped, spacious and beautifully decorated. The grounds of the hotel are beautiful and the pool area so tranquil. I would highly recommend.

Such a peaceful, friendly place
Little out of the way, out of the bustle of Mirissa main road, but such a peaceful getaway. The hotel and its premises are so nicely done. We could just relax there all day. Wake up late for a nice leisurely buffet breakfast laid out so lovingly by the friendly staff, spend some time looking at wildlife, take a free tuk tuk down to the beach for lunch and wander back to spend the evening at the pool with some dinner from town. We had a great time. High recommendations to the staff for making us feel so welcome

need some improvements
hidden oasis away from the busy main road Mirissa, interior design was exceptional (as seen on photos, but not as big), however naming as "boutique hotel" only stays with the hardware, The friendly multi task old man that cooks breakfast, calls tuk tuk, gardening and etc. seems to be the only person working, and he's around the property until 7pm, you only see front desk manager on duty during morning for payments, meaning you'll mostly find the entire place left alone. This place is absolutely stunning settled beside a canal surrounded by nature at first glance, but if you take a look at the entrance of the house, the canal is trashed with cans and plastics, which makes me sad. If the owner can do a little further, I'm sure the place can remain its high ratings.

Dear Anonymous, Thank you for your comments and we can assure you that they are taking on board. Please note that it is difficult to be responsible for areas outside our premises especially in Sri Lanka when one has complete disregard for the environment. We do clean from time to time the area that we have mentioned however i guess that we have to do it more often. there ale always 3 people on site, the guy that you have mentioned and 2 room boys that are responsible for keeping the place spotless. As regards the manager besides doing the front office work he is responsible for the overall running of the property and that sometimes requires that he leaves the property. we are glad that you have found the property an Oasis and hope that you do return to see the changes,

Peaceful oasis and close to Mirissa!
Our stay at the D Canal house was amazing. We have stayed at a range of places throughout Sri Lanka — D Canal house was the best of all of them. The houses are amazingly furnished with the most beautiful showers I have yet experienced. For dinner you are close to the best roti house in Mirissa and the pool is amazing to lounge in while watching the local wildlife. Mirissa is full of energy and noise... the D Canal house helps you escape from this where you get a chance to relax in peace. The staff were delightful and the most cheerful! We would come back here in a heartbeat! Thank you D Canal House!

Super Aufenthalt. Das Zimmer und Bad waren sehr groß. Ebenfalls die Terrasse. Der Pool war sehr schön und sauber. Das Personal war äußerst freundlich und hilfsbereit. Der kostenlose tuktukservice zur mainroaf war großartig.

Lovely hotel in Mirissa
My girlfriend and I stayed at D Canal House for almost a week, and we are very satisfied. The hotel is secluded from the main street but offered free TukTuk to and from which was incredibly helpful. The place was quiet and peaceful in the evenings and nights. The hotel had a relaxing environment with lots of vegetation which the staff looked after well. All staff were extremely helpful. They helped with everything from transport bookings to excursions and even arranging packed breakfast if needed. Their knowledge of the area was extensive and they recommended local restaurants and places worth visiting. They were available for any questions. The rooms were nice and had all the amenities you needed. The breakfast was good and prepared from scratch. Everything felt genuine and they always wanted our best. We are very satisfied with our stay and the genuine experience. We would love to return to D Canal House!

Peaceful stay in jungle-like surroundings
We stayed for five wonderful nights at D Canal House and had the feeling of living in the middle of the jungle. Every day, we relaxed in the nice and cozy pool area of the hotel while spotting exotic birds and other animals. The breakfast was really good, and the staff (Milan and Briaya) were absolutely fantastic. Their way of being contributed to making the overall experience absolutely perfect. In the evening, we could safely walk through the local area to Mirissa (15 minutes) to have dinner, but the hotel also offers free tuk-tuk service to the main road in Mirissa between 10 AM and 7 PM. We would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to stay in peaceful and jungle-like surroundings, yet still within walking distance to the city life and the beach in Mirissa.

Cool junglebungalows
Vi bodde her i 2 netter og hadde det helt topp. Det ligger litt utenfor sentrum, men hotellet har gratis skyss med tuk tuk mellom 10 og 7. Vi bodde i whatsudda bungalow, den var stor og fin. Bassengområdet og Hagen er også kjempe bra. Vi stortrivdes og det var veldig god service!

Vackert boende
Ett fantastiskt hotell med mysig trädgård. Jätte snygga stora bungalows och en riktigt bra pool. Hade absolut bott här igen om jag åker tillbaka till Mirissa. 10 minuters promenad till stranden men inget som störde då de fixade tuktuk till oss vid behov.

A beautiful new hotel
The hotel is very new and our bungalow was absolutely beautiful. The area around the hotel is also stunning. It is located by a river, and while relaxing at their beautiful pool area we saw lots of different animals. The area is quiet and little bit further away from the beach, but it takes only 5 minutes by tuk tuk to get there. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very nice. I can definetely recommend this hotel.
