"We had a wonderfully relaxing weekend. Every day, after enjoying the hydrotherapy pool, the sauna, and the steam room, we slept incredibly well. It was a weekend filled with relaxation and excellent food. We had dinner, breakfast, and lunch at the hotel, and everything was delicious. The rooms are spacious and feature very comfortable king-size beds, which made our stay even more enjoyable. Whenever we visit Salcedo, this will be our place to stay."

Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Miraflores?

The best area to stay in Miraflores is directly within the hacienda itself, as it offers a unique and convenient experience.Miraflores is a private hacienda, not a town with distinct neighbourhoods. Staying on the estate means you're surrounded by stunning natural beauty and have immediate access to all the hacienda's amenities and activities. The main building, a beautifully restored historic farmhouse, serves as the central point, with guest rooms and suites offering views of the gardens and Cotopaxi volcano. This is particularly ideal for couples seeking a peaceful and romantic escape. You can enjoy horse riding through the expansive grounds, explore the organic farm, or simply relax by the fire in the main lounge. The focus here is on relaxation and connecting with the natural landscape, with everything conveniently located within the hacienda's boundaries. For families, the hacienda provides ample space and activities for all ages. Children can enjoy interacting with farm animals, exploring the gardens, and taking part in guided nature walks.

When is the best time to go to Miraflores?

The best time to visit Miraflores, Cotopaxi, Ecuador, is during the dry season, which typically runs from June to September.During these months, you'll experience clearer skies and less rainfall, making it ideal for outdoor activities and sightseeing. The daytime temperatures are generally pleasant, ranging from 15°C to 20°C, though evenings can be cooler. This period offers the best chance to see the majestic Cotopaxi volcano without cloud cover. This dry period is particularly well-suited for adventurers and nature enthusiasts who plan to hike, trek, or explore the Cotopaxi National Park. The trails are less muddy, and visibility for photography is excellent, especially in the early mornings.Travellers looking for a comfortable and convenient experience will also appreciate the dry season. Roads to attractions are in better condition, and outdoor dining or relaxing in hotel gardens is more enjoyable.
