Holiday Inn Express & Suites Waxahachie by IHG
10/10 Excellent
"This property was one of the better ones we have ever stayed in!! It is very clean, well maintained, and comfortable. The breakfast was one of the better ones we have ever had. There was something different every single day. The breakfast room was very clean and well maintained. Josephine, Yasmin, Josefina, Leticia, and Rita kept the food full and the tables clean. The front desk staff was very nice. Maya is the one that we dealt with most of the time and she was top-notch, very kind, knowledgeable, and sweet. We were at this property for a car show at the end of September and they had decorated it for the car show as well as for fall. It was very welcoming and fun to see. We will definitely be looking for IHG hotels in other areas to stay in as we vacation."

"Updating hotel so much is very nice. Even the stairwells were carpeted and fairly clean compared to most places. My husband and I both agreed beds and pillows were comfortable. Good towels and housekeeping. Hot shower. Room darkening shades. Good air-conditioning. Cold fridge, microwave, and room coffee machine. The pool and area around was clean and well kept with flowers and plants. Also enough pool towels. Great breakfast selection, almost anything you would want. Plus a fancy coffee machine that makes specialty coffees and cocoa. Area nicely kept, and server kept everything filled. We didn't get a chance to use the laundry machines or gym but looked nice. Parking convenient. One elevator, but fast. Someone always at front desk. Now the bad. We got locked into pool area as key did not work to let us back into hotel. Had to send a grandchild over the wall to rescue us. Drawer in dresser broken. Had to pick up some spilled pills on carpet and found it to be really dirty. Back of room door had dripping oil and otherwise looked gross. After requesting it to be cleaned I finally did it myself after 3 days. We stayed a week. Miserable little shampoo/conditioner bottles that I couldn't get anything out of. We liked the location which is close to everything and our family."
