Entering on a specially built ramp (wheelchair and powerchair accessible), the door opens into a large great room with cathedral ceiling. The fully equipped kitchen--microwave, stove/oven, refrigerator/freezer, dishwasher and panini grill--has a farmhouse table that seats 6\. The living room, complete with ceiling fan, is furnished with a large sofa and oversized chair and 48' flat screen HDTV with satellite service, DVR, DVD and wall-mounted stereo speaker system. It opens onto a covered porch that runs the length of the cabin and is cooled by 3 ceiling fans helping the mountain breeze; a perfect place to enjoy the quiet woods while resting in Amish-crafted rockers. Above the living room is a loft furnished with matching twin beds, nightstand and dresser. The master bedroom, furnished with antiques, original art and a queen-sized iron bed, has access to the screened section of the porch through lovely French doors, fitted with adjustable shades for privacy. The bathroom is equipped with a handicap shower with removable shower head, seat and railings. All doorways on the main floor are 36' wide. One side of the furnished basement has a full-size, regulation pool table, air hockey table and two counter-height chairs. The other side has a queen-sized Murphy bed, 37-inch HDTV with built-in DVD player and satellite and DVR service as well as a full bath. Contacting Larry and Joyce was a breeze. The cabin was so close to everything, and the restaurants in Blue Ridge were great. Cant wait to stay again. The house was very clean, and the perfect size for our trip, but would have plenty of room for another family. We really enjoyed the walking trails and thebeautiful creek. Mrs Joyce was very welcoming and even went beforehand and babyproofed the house a bit to help us out. Very kind host. The long driveway also has nice scenery on the way to the cabin. This was the most amazing vacation/honeymoon we have had. The cabin was beautiful . We spent our time playing pool and enjoying the seclusion . We enjoyed the camp fire with chopped wood already availble. It was absolutely amazing!! Thank you for letting us enjoy your wonderful property we will definitely be back soon. Very spacious, great location and had plenty of ammenities. Larry and Joyce answered any questions promptly. Only negative is the number of beds is incorrect. The listing states bedroom two has two beds. A queen and double murphy bed but it only has the murphy bed. Wasn't a big deal though as there was plenty of room for all our guests. It fits our family so well! Just enough space but not so much you never see each other. We love the privacy of the cabin and the ease of travel on the roads. We played many games of pool, had smores, played board games. Never even turned on the television. Ms. Joyce is a gracious host. She made sure we had all that we needed and even returned items we left behind. This is definitely our family's favorite vacation spot. ##### Kelly T. I’ve stayed at many beautiful vacation homes. And this one ranks right up there. But what separates a home & the experience is the host. Joyce was the nicest, most accommodating host ever! She offered for us to come a day early due to an impending snow storm. She knew we had our handicapped mother with us. To have an accessible cabin is rare & Joyce was just so concerned about our safety. I cannot say enough nice things about the cabin! The beds weee super comfy! The Murphy bed was amazing! The dogs loved playing in the snow in the fenced yard. And the views were just breathtaking. Go visit Joyce and the Little Cabin in the Woods. You won’t regret it.
