Lovely place but our room could definitely do with a refurb shower not working properly and generally all a little tired.long wait for food on the first night but second night no problem at all very quick service and food could not fault it definitely would stay again..
Room small for a twin but nice. Some points of cleanliness in room needs attention but did not spoil stay.mattress protectors definitely needed. Better quality pillows also 7/10needed. Darren and Steph were good hosts. 10/10 Staff very good and helpful. Food is excellent very excellent 10/10.

One night business stay
Very nice country side hotel very clean and tidy. Perhaps could do with modernising
My only complaint is the curtains are very thin letting the morning sunlight in way to early 4am , could do with black out curtains otherwise no problem
Stunning location next to the River Exe. Comfortable room overlooking the river and gardens. Very breakfast in terms of choice, quality and service. One or two issues with the room were raised with the management, but nothing that we expect to reoccur for future guests. We wish the operators every success in this venture.
We only stayed for one night and wish we'd had longer. A gorgeous view of the very pretty gardens and river from our room. The pub is beautifully decorated with a lovely atmosphere. Everyone was very friendly.
It is a nice bar with good beers. Nice garden by the river. Although no food on a Sunday night the manager took us to next village to pick up a takeaway
On the downside the bar and breakfast restaurant were very cold and the beds quite soft and uncomfortable
Loved the location, nice spacious pub with accommodation and great beer garden by a river! Ideal for unwinding after a day exploring the fringes of Exmoor. I was warmly welcomed on arrival I had a large room to myself and enjoyed a great nights sleep - with no noise from the bar area. Good range of bar food with generous portions. Couldn't fault
The staff where very friendly and helpful. The inn is in a lovely setting and is nice and clean. They serve a good choice of excellent food and the breakfast is highly recommended. The rooms were nice and clean and the bed was very comfortable.
There was nothing to dislike at the Anchor Inn. The food was plentiful and well presented at this delightful riverside family run hostelry. Being an old inn the floors creaked which added to its uniqueness. Parking was opposite the inn and free. We would definitely recommend them.

Lovely inn food good big portions very friendly staff
The Inn was a lovely and restful place to stay. The only minor issue was the low water pressure with the shower. There was a jacuzzi bath - but we did not use this.
