It was a great place to stay when in Milan, location is perfect, breakfast is really good and friendly staff too. I recommend this hotel

Nice stay for two nights
First time in Italy and glad that we stayed at this hotel. Close to almost everything and very convenient. Small hotel but really cozy with a wonderful staff!!

The hotel is super central and is surrounded by metro stations, restaurants and shops. The room and bathroom is not spacious but the location of the hotel is very good and we felt safe. The staff is also very nice.

Good location, located near subway
This is our second time staying at Hotel Fenice, Milano. The location near the subway and within walking distance to all the sites works for us. It isn’t fancy but we find it to be clean and comfortable. The staff is always very helpful and pleasant.

The location is good. Hotel staff were pleasant during breakfast. Hotel facilities are a bit rundown. Check-in was difficult with rules and restrictions.

Room was basic. Twin bed was kind of uncomfortable. The AC didn’t work all that well either. The hotel is in a great local though and the room had a tub which I like. Probably wouldn’t stay here again for the price but wasn’t unhappy with my stay.

Hip location lodging with great service.
Nice clean hotel centrally located. Metro stop across the street. Nice alternative neighborhood. Reminded me of Williamsburg or the East Village in NYC. Room was small but cozy and very clean.

Good Hotel in Super Convenient Location
This was the second time I've stayed in Hotel Fenice - Milano. On both occasions the staff were friendly and helpful, the room met all of my needs and I enjoyed the convenient location close to the Porta Venezia Metro stop, shopping and restaurants. If you have free time it is easy to walk to the Duomo area or to the Giardini Pubblici where local people enjoy themselves on nice days. The only drawback to this location is that the traffic and street life can be quite noisy. For example I was awakened very early by the sounds of glass being loaded into a recycling truck just outside of my window. Despite that issue I would happily stay here again. I was quite comfortable in my room during the time that I was in my room and there was lots to see and do nearby. Also the breakfast was good.

Budget hotel in good location
Hotel Fenice is a budget hotel in a good location. Rooms are fairly simple. There is not much of a lobby, nor the little touches of a luxury hotel. I also had real problems with the lights -- couldn't turn off at nighttime. An employee had to rig up something to get them to turn off. Also, when I called downstairs to report this, no one answered. Best to say is that it is in a good location, close to transportation, restaurants and shopping.

Great staff, basics are covered, great location
This hotel has what you need for a basic night or two stay. The rooms are nothing fancy but get the job done. The staff was very nice and the location was very central. The walls are very thin so it was a bit noisy - I could hear other guests watching TV, playing music, talking etc. Not a huge deal to me but something to be aware of.

OK hotel, great location
Was here for business after a meeting in Pisa, and had an early morning flight from Milan. Hotel was fine. The room itself was fine, but the window opened up to a gap between buildings, and sat right over the area where the staff took their smoking breaks, so I couldn't open my windows at all. The corridors also stank of smoke, although I think the hotel was supposed to be non-smoking throughout, so either that wasn't accurate information, or one of the guests was smoking in their room. There was an ash-tray in my room in any case, so..... As an asthma sufferer (who was also at the tail-end of a cold), I am very sensitive to smoke, so always make sure that I am staying in a smoke-free hotel. This was therefore disappointing. The breakfast was adequate, and was replenished frequently by the staff. Check-in was also fine, although as I was 30 mins early, I wasn't allowed up to my room. However, I was allowed to store my bag in the storage room behind the front desk, so I didn't have to wait. The location of the hotel is great. It's right next to a Metro station, and there are plenty of supermarkets and restaurants nearby to get food in. If I'm in Milan again, I will probably look at availability of this place, but it might not be at the top of my list.

Great find, super helpful, kind, and friendly staff. Small but adequate breakfast, however, it's obvious that quality is very important to them.. great cappuccino.. It's located mere steps away from the Metro. My only complaint would be the bed is incredibly firm!

We paid for superior room and the one what we got was very small(room 410) situated on the end of the corridor. We asked for a different room,similar to the one from the pictures but they were fully booked. Only next day they moved us to the proper room. Very poor Wi-Fi and poor breakfast choice,good location.

The hotel is in a good location: there's access to the metro close-by, lots of shops along the Corso Buenos Aires and good restaurants are in walking distance. If you arrive by car, it's best if you drive up the pedestrian zone from Via Melzo to unload your luggage, and then lock up the car at one of their parking garage boxes which is a couple of blocks down the street (5 minute walk from the hotel, on the left near Via Melzo 17). Staff was very friendly. The breakfast buffet is more on the simple side, but sufficient to get you rolling for the day.

Nice hotel next to metro station, taxi, hop on
It was ideally located, not near Duomo, but in a very living shopping street. Midway between Duomo and Central Train station. Perfect access to the metro line M1 Pta venezia. All staff from front desk to waitresses at breakfast are helpful. Free wifi. Very clean hotel. Restaurants in walking distance. Would definitely stay there again. Breakfast buffet provided good selection - attentive service. Street noisy, and can feel the vibrations from the metro, but it as not an issue, since we were leaving in the morning and coming back late in the evening. In summary, it has all the basics you need in a very simple way.

The hotel is ok for the location. Internet was down for 2 days and I had to change room 3 times. No twin bed but a little single bed. Then new room lit bit better but 8am somebody started to hummer next door. They said that the next building is a condo so they don't have power for that. WHAT??

A very good hotel in a perfect location
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel, the staff were warm, welcoming and helpful. The bedroom was spacious and very comfortable. The bathroom was very good, just a little small, but had everything one needed for a short stay. Breakfast was buffet style but plentiful and the coffee is excellent. The hotel location is perfect for a visit to Milan - there is a metro stop just across the road but we prefer to walk and everything is within walking distance, giving you the opportunity to see the city.
