Convenient mid town location, close to everything

Could not believe there was a smoking floor, hence a 4 on facilities, otherwise would have given a 5

Comfort, comfort, comfort .. .

Posted 10-Aug-2017
Pros: First class all the way - quiet, comfortable, and of course clean . . .
Cons: Nothing
Location: Close to Fifth Avenue, Grand Central Station - easy access to all forms of transportation and nice to walk up the Avenue
Our first stay at Kitano and it was a treat . . .

Beware

Posted 26-Jul-2017
This hotel refused to let me change my reservation even though I had a medical reason to do so resulting in me having to eat the cost of a 5 night hotel stay.

Nice hotel in the city next to everything

Posted 14-Jul-2017
Very nice hotel on the east side of manhattan. Most west side hotel in New York have homeless people problems. This is on the east side in the good neighborhood without homeless problem.

So convenient to sight seeing in New York. But hotel stuff especially Japanese stuff is not kind and lack of experience for hospitality.

Good Hotel in a good location with a good price

Posted 10-Jul-2017
Pros: Friendly Staff Our bathroom had a bidet. Nice a view of the empire state building.
Cons: Slightly dated.
Location: Grand Central Station is 3 blocks down. Far enough out of the busiest areas, but close enough to walk to them.
We got the VIP+ room upgrade and everything was nice. The restaurant was expensive, but that was to be expected. The free VIP+ breakfast offset that some though. We had easy walking access to Grand Central station for food selection and parking nearby. It is slightly dated, but that is to be expected. The hotel also has nice a view of the empire state building.

Stinky bathroom

Posted 04-Jul-2017
The bathroom at this hotel smelled like wet laundry (that you forgot in your washer). It really grossed me out. At the end of the trip, I figured out it was the shower curtain. Nasty for a hotel that has a toilet with a built in cleanser I would have expected more.

Excellent location, great hotel

Posted 25-Jun-2017
Pros: Location and its quiet ambiance.
Cons: Nothing, really.
Location: Walkable to places like Herald Square, Bryant Park, and Grand Central Station. Lots of great neighborhoods restaurants, too.
The hotel is very nice, quiet, and clean which is very welcomed after spending a day outside in busy NYC. Staff is friendly and helpful. Location is central to most things in the city. The only thing I wasn't quite happy about was the comfort of the bed. It was way too soft for my liking. Otherwise, great room, very spacious for a NYC hotel. Great stay overall.

Hotel was close to everything in lower manhattan

Posted 01-Jun-2017
It was quiet, the toilets were loud from other people using, the bed was comfortable and nice, the only thing is we had a corner of the refrigerator to use for our 7 night stay which meant we would have to eat out every night which we didn't want to do.
