clean and close

we had an excellent stay at the Hyatt. It was literally right next to the train station which made arrival and departure very easy with 3 kids. Hotel was very clean and comfortable and safe. I would stay here again.

Great location! Terrific staff, comfortable room

Posted 19-Sep-2017
Pros: Location, staff, food quality/taste (restaurant and room service)
Cons: Room decor a bit dated, but comfortable and functional
Location: Transportation, Broadway, Chrysler building
Stayed for 3 nights post-cruise. Hard-to-beat location next-door to Grand Central, so getting anywhere is a snap. Exceptional service at every level (bellmen, reception, restaurant, room service, housekeeping, and even the telephone operators!). Room was quiet (at the back of the hotel) and comfortable, A/C and shower water pressure were good and strong (important for me). I also very much appreciated the 24-hr shop in the lobby that was well-stocked with plenty of options for a decent, quick breakfast. Had a great stay and will choose this hotel again the next time I visit.

Excellent hotel!

My granddaughter & I loved our stay at the Grand Hyatt in NYC! Our room was especially nice; the amenities were over the top. The people who assisted us over the 2 days we were there were genuinely helpful & attentive to our needs.

2 night stay

Posted 18-Sep-2017
Pros: The staff was accommodating and friendly. The restaurant food was very good and the bartender's drinks were nicely poured.
Cons: The batroom area of my room was distressed.
Location: The location was fine, considering I was there for work with no time to explore the area.
The room appeared to have been recently updated and was in very good condition. with the exception of the bathroom, The shower drain stop was broken and laying in the tub. The veneer finish of the vanity was peeling. The thermostat would not cool the room below 70 degrees.

We had a nice stay, the room was neat and clean however after checking out we wanted to walk around in the city and we were charged three dollars to store our bag for a few hours. True, not a lot of money but after we spent a lot of money on the room we got nickle and dimed kind of ticked me off. I did pay it though.

Nice hotel; excellent location

Posted 11-Sep-2017
Pros: Lobby, room decor, location.
Cons: The bathroom was very small; an on-site swimming pool.
Location: Connected to Grand Central Station for subway access to all of Manhattan. Only about a 10-minute walk to Times Square & most Midtown attractions.
Very clean and quiet hotel with a location that can't be beat; connected to Grand Central Station.

Convenient location

Hotel is older. Rooms are refurbished. Staff is friendly and helpful. Housekeeping is responsive to all requests although room cleaning quality is inconsistent. You can't beat the location. Right above Grand Central station.
